I Failed

I tried to follow her, but I couldn’t

By all means, my Writing journey has been incredible. I have been writing for less than 2 weeks and I’ve already made $43.84. I can now pay for a lunch for two at our favorite Thai place!

However, I failed.

My wife encouraged me to write every day, like she does. And I thought that was a nice challenge. But on day 13, I failed.

I couldn’t find the time, I wasn’t motivated, I wasn’t sure about what I wanted to say.

And that’s when I realized how amazing she is. How she is capable of setting herself a goal and accomplishing it. Admirable!

But I didn’t fail at everything. I did something amazing myself.

Back in the day, I would have been jealous and resentful that she’s done it, that she has made more than 10 times in the same amount of time.

But I wasn’t. I’m happy for her. Proud of her.

I know I haven’t always been a good partner. But I see I’m improving. And that is my win.

Wife keeps insisting I look at the bright side of life, so here it is!
