I Need 2000 Dollars Now — 5 Clever Solutions if You’re in a Bind
I need 2000 dollars now! Has this ever been you?
Sometimes life creeps up on you and for one reason or another, you find yourself needing a lot of cash fast.
What the heck do you do?
Coming up with 2000 dollars fast now isn’t easy but, it can be done.
Here are some ideas that can help.
5 Clever Ways to Come Up with $2,000 Fast
You’re in a money crunch and need money fast.
Here are some ways to come up with two grand super fast.
1. Rideshare delivery
The quickest way to make money with rideshare is if you already have a rideshare account.
This means you’ve previously applied to and have been accepted for UberEATS, Doordash, Grub Hub, or any other rideshare delivery companies.
Each company varies a bit on how they work but, in short, you pick up and delivery consumer orders, like restaurant takeout, alcohol from liquor stores, convenience stores goods, etc.
This is a solution to getting quick cash because many of these companies:
- Pay weekly and, or
- Pay on demand
A weekly payout means you put in the work rideshare driving and then in a week, get paid. Or, you can request payout on the spot, after a day or a few days, whatever you want.
Drawbacks?
This works fastest if you already have a rideshare delivery account in place.
If you don’t, you can still apply but, it can take some time to go through the approval process, and have your application reviewed to ensure you meet the driver and vehicle requirements, background checks, etc.
And, if you don’t have a vehicle, this is out the door, altogether.
2. Freelancing
Monetize your skills with freelancing. Book one or more freelancing clients, bill up front and bam, you’ve got your $2,000.
Examples of freelance services to offer:
- Bookkeeping
- Social media management
- Virtual assistance
- Graphic design services
- Writing
Drawbacks?
This won’t work if you don’t have monetizable skills. So, don’t try to land a freelance graphic design client if you can’t do graphic design.
This can work whether or not you have experience, which is great but, landing freelance clients, especially as a beginner, can be tough but, it can be done.
3. Turo
Turo is a short-term vehicle rental company. This is about making money with short-term vehicle rentals.
You will get paid to lend your vehicle to customers over the short-term. It’s like AirBNB but, for cars and it can be very lucrative.
Drawbacks?
You need a car.
You need to meet the requirements to get approved for Turo then, you need your car to be desirable enough to attract renters who book your vehicle.
4. Ebay selling
You can literally sell stuff on Ebay from around your house. I used to do this around the holidays to raise some holiday cash.
I like this because you can get paid instantly via Paypal when you sell on Ebay.
Drawbacks?
You need stuff to sell.
No dropshipping is allowed on Ebay so don’t even be tempted. There’s a lot of competition on Ebay so you might be waiting days, weeks or months for your stuff to sell.
Pro Tip: Search for the item you want to sell on Ebay.
Then, go to the Filters and toggle on “Sold” to see which of those items sold recently. This will give you insight on the market, like if it's saturated or not. You can also see the price the item sold for so you price yours competitively.
5. Website flipping
You build, grow and sell websites. These can be simple starter websites with no traffic and no income.
If you need two grand and you’re selling sites at $200 each, you’d need to do this ten times to raise the $2,000.
This is something anybody can do. You don’t need to know coding. And, it can be lucrative.
I’ve made six figures website flipping and it’s one of my favorite side hustles.
Drawbacks?
One of the fastest ways to sell your site is on the marketplace Flippa. Flippa is restricted for certain countries, so if you’re in one of these areas, you will have to find another way to sell your site.
There can be a learning curve in the beginning, but, once you learn website flipping, you can go far with this high-income skill.
Here’s an ebook that teaches website flipping and a course that teaches website flipping.
