As I sat to write this piece, the word “Mastery” came to my mind. I wanted to weave this word and describe how I am evolving as a writer in Medium Publications.

Before I start explaining with the Acronym MASTERY, I want you, my dear reader, writer, and Publisher to feed y(our)brain with these inspiring and interesting quotes about “writing”

“If I waited for perfection, I would never write a word.” — Margaret Atwood

“No one else sees the world the way you do, so no one else can tell the stories that you have to tell.” — Charles de Lint

“Successful writing is one part inspiration and two parts sheer stubbornness.” — Gillian Flynn

M-Make a plan and create a system to write. It could be as simple as writing for 30 minutes every day or every other day. It could be writing one or two articles per week. It could be Self-Publish one week and written for other Publications next week. Be creative and have fun.

In the above article, you can see, how I created a system by integrating my Home workout with writing.

A-Act when you get ideas. It could be just opening Google Docs and writing a summary or gist of an interesting/informative article you read OR and Video you watched OR a Podcast you listened to. Did you follow any tips or tools suggested that worked for you? Can you write about that?

In this article, I have shared how watching a couple of videos for twelve minutes was the best use of my time. You too can watch a video, use the tips and share your experience.

S-The ability to Self-Publish in such a Large reputable Publication gives the beginner writer a sense of empowerment and encouragement.

That is one of my Self Published articles in the initial stages of my writing. When I saw 70 claps my joy knew no bounds and I got interested in how my fellow writers wrote in various publications.

T-Once you Self-Publish some articles, You boldly train and test your writing ability by writing for other Publishers

After I got accepted into “New Writers Welcome” I wrote that article.

That is an article in “Refresh the Soul” that not only got claps but some engagement from readers. I was inspired to write more.

E-There are new writers, exclusively self-publishers, and Small and Large Publishers. While you may get accepted easily by some, some publishers have strict and high standards/requirements for approval. Allow yourself to evolve for getting better and better.

Now I am the Publisher of “Explore Your Magnificent Self”. I want to do my best to learn and share valuable information, tips, and life lessons.

R-Read, Read, and read. There is so much to learn from the vast pool of writers. Even if you are not a fan of reading, you can check the reading duration time and select articles to read as per duration. Start reading 2 mins articles first and eventually you will be able to read the longer ones and grasp the writer’s vocabulary and writing style. To quote a few, I learn a lot from Ange Dim, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles Nancy Blackman, MASF, and several other writers.

Y-You and no one else can be the author of your life storybook. Create each page of your Life Storybook as an article that could be a life lesson or life learning or life experience.

When you click that link you can read about my life experience, and the lessons learned from each of my articles. I would like to continue to serve you all by doing my best to learn, write and share.
