I had that Same Dream Again

Why did I have another dream about the same person?

Recap: A gipsy old woman woman said Hannah would ace her exam, and her prediction came true.

After obtaining her CFA certification, Hannah was headhunted for a considerably higher position. She got a huge pay increase and a bigger office. Hannah was happy with how well everything was going, except for the fact that her mother kept pushing her to get married and setting her up on blind dates.

“You could get a fake boyfriend to calm her down, just like in the movies,” Joyce teased Hannah.

Lying on the bed, Hannah gave Joyce’s suggestion some serious thought. She would do anything to appease her mother, but where could she find a fake boyfriend? She picked up her phone and googled.

Temporary Boyfriend, Freelance Boyfriend, Social Boyfriend, Boyfriend Assistance, … yawn …

Hannah found herself on the beach again; this time she landed outside the bar she had previously visited. There were a few other people on the beach, but they couldn’t see her, just like before. However, Hannah was unconcerned. She knew she was dreaming.

Hannah looked around. All the people on the beach were dressed casually in shorts and tees, except for a girl. She wore a white bikini. Hannah examined the girl. She appeared quite pale under the moonlight. Water was dripping from her hair and all over her body.

“She must have gone for a night swim,” Hannah thought.

When the bikini girl noticed Hannah was looking at her, she approached Hannah.

“Hello,” the bikini girl said with a smile.

“Hello,” Hannah replied, surprised and delighted that the bikini girl could see her.

“You can see me,” The bikini girl’s face lit up with excitement and her smile turned devilish as she stared into Hannah’s eyes.

Hannah’s eyes were riveted on the bikini girl’s eyes and her mind went blank in a split second. She had been hypnotised!

Suddenly, a bright green light flashed from behind Hannah, and it completely blinded the bikini girl’s sight. The bikini girl felt a sharp pain and found herself fading. She was shocked and screamed in pain as she ran away.

“What had happened? “ Hannah instantly regained consciousness. She was greeting the bikini girl. Why did she flee?

Hannah turned around to check what was behind her, and to her surprise, she saw the man who had waved and smiled at her. when she was here previously. She was happy to see him again.

“Are you also here to watch the sunrise?” The man asked.

Hannah shook her head, “Not really, I was in my own dream.”

“I like your sense of humor.” The man laughed.

They started a conversation. Hannah quickly learned that the man’s name was Timothy. He worked as a singer at the resort on the island.

Hannah enjoyed talking to Timothy despite the fact that she was in her own dream and Timothy was merely a fantasy in it. She felt a strong connection to him, as if she had known him for a long time.

While they were immersed in their chat, the sun began to rise, casting a rosy hue across the clear blue sky and gradually illuminating her surroundings. The golden lights were shining on the sea and changing the colour of the water. Hannah was captivated by the colour symphony.

“It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Timothy said.

Hannah shifted her gaze to Timothy. She had an impulse to kiss him, and she did! She was in her own dream, so she could do whatever she desired. This was Hannah’s rationale for acting freely and unrestrained.

Timothy responded by kissing Hannah passionately and deeply, exactly the way Hannah had wanted.

Hannah had no idea how she had left her dream. All she could remember were the intense kisses. She buried her face in her hands, embarrassed yet happy with what she had done in her dream.

“But why did I dream of the same place and the same person twice?” Hannah pondered.

She googled about repetitive dreams and was relieved to find out that it wasn’t unusual to keep dreaming about the same place and person. Stress could cause repeated dreams.

Hannah thought of her mother, who had recently been pushing her to get married. She was so desperate to find someone, just to put an end to her mother’s continuous nagging. Has she been so troubled lately that she started dreaming about meeting her Mr. Perfect?
