I Exchanged Coffee for Blue Lotus Tea — A Lifechanger

I have a long history with coffee/caffeine. I was a heavy caffeine consumer. When I was still working 9–5, I easily had 3–4 coffees per day.
My History with Coffee
In the last few years, I’ve quit coffee a few times. I struggled through the first days, occasionally even experiencing nausea, but the worst symptom was always the headache. After a very difficult week, it would gradually improve. I often went back to coffee after 2–5 months despite knowing it doesn’t sit well with my heart and causes shakiness if I have more than 1 cup a day. Not the brightest of decisions. I know.
I usually like starting the day with a kick, and that’s where my beloved caffeine typically comes in. I also workout and take cold showers but nothing is like my good old coffee in the morning.
So, here I am, quitting coffee for the 1000th time. But this time, it feels very different. I didn’t experience vomiting or a pounding headache, just discomfort for 1–2 days instead of nearly a week. Instead of green tea as a substitute, I decided to go with Blue Lotus Tea.
The blue lotus, a stunning Egyptian water lily with bright sky-blue flowers, represents ancient ideas of rebirth, spiritual enlightenment, and even some aphrodisiac properties. In larger quantities, it can cause psychedelic experiences.
Blue Lotus Tea

Pure Blue Lotus tea doesn’t contain any caffeine, but somehow, it works fantastically for me. Blue Lotus has many benefits, and in this article, I’ll focus on the benefits I’ve personally felt. Just to inform you, the main potential benefits are:
- Relaxation and stress relief
- Potential pain relief and anti-inflammatory properties
- May improve mood and cognitive function
- Digestive support
- Lucid dreaming

My Experience with Blue Lotus Tea
After 1–2 days of headaches from quitting coffee (again), I received my new herbal tea, Blue Lotus, by mail. I ordered whole dried blue lotus flowers, ensuring it’s 100% pure Blue Lotus Flowers.
On the day I started, due to my coffee withdrawal, I had a headache and felt a bit sick, especially with a sore throat.
My Recipe
I weigh about 60kg, am 170cm tall, and I like to use 2–3 full dried blue lotus flowers that I put in hot water I’ve boiled beforehand.
I let the flowers soak for 10 minutes, carefully remove them, and reuse them up to 3 times. If you decide to do this too, be very mindful that they don’t get dirty (bacteria growth) and the potency might lower with every use.
What I use isn’t even enough to feel a microdosing effect, but it’s sufficient for me to experience the benefits. My throat immediately improved. Whether it was the honey in the tea, the blue lotus flowers themselves, or the combination of both, I’m not sure. I only know that it prevented pharyngitis (throat infection) from developing. My cough disappeared after just one cup.
Currently, I enjoy drinking this tea twice a day — morning and afternoon. It feels fantastic.

Conclusion
During my coffee days, my heart always felt like it was beating too fast, and I felt a weird pressure on it. My doctors also recommended quitting coffee. So, after starting with Blue Lotus Tea and completely avoiding caffeine (including Coca Cola, etc.), I feel BALANCED — very balanced, calm, yet motivated.

My mind functions better, which is hard to explain. My mind is sometimes chaotic, jumping from one topic to another, making it hard to focus all my energy purely on positive things. But with this Blue Lotus tea, everything seems easier, better. I feel much more positive, almost a bit euphoric.
I suffered from winter depression while living in Europe, so this change is very welcome. Also, my stomach feels more at ease. Normally, I tend to have a bloated belly, but somehow, this tea helped me visually slim down.
Do I miss coffee? Yeah, sure. I love the smell of coffee! But I know it’s not good for me, so I’m happy to make this change again. Hopefully, I won’t relapse this time, but I’m quite confident that I’ll stay strong because I have a great ally by my side: Blue Lotus Tea.
