30+ Day Challenges | Health | Energy Booster
I Drank Beetroot Juice Every Day for 35 Days, and This Happened!
What beetroot juice can do to your body?

I am super proud to say that my first experiment, drinking 3.78 liters of water daily for 30 days, has opened many doors in the past few years, allowing me to lead a more productive and healthy life.
After that successful journey, I started doing tiny 30-day experiments to live a healthy, happy, and more productive life. So far, I have completed 25+ challenges, including beetroot juice.
I am always looking for new challenges, and if the challenge helps me in one of the following three ways, I share it with the readers.
- Challenge help me to live a healthy life
- Challenges help me boost my productivity
- The challenge is easy to do.

Why a 30-day challenge???
The key reason behind a 30-day challenge is to help my reader build healthy and productive habits by tracking progress with weekly and daily tasks and seeing the effect of compound results. That’s that’s it!
Research shows that a challenge is more effective than a threat to achieve your goals.
Why beetroot juice challenge?
I love the outdoors and prefer to follow a natural energy booster, which has always helped me: long walks or a quick run (sprint).
However, this year, winter is brutal. I still try to go out.
I slipped a couple of times by merely walking.
I took this opportunity to boost my energy naturally while staying at home, utilizing the home gym, and experimenting by merely drinking beetroot juice each morning.
I decided to do the beetroot juice experiment to boost energy naturally.
I even consumed it as a pre-workout booster.
The best part is that it worked. You can read more about it in the results section.
Why should you consider doing a beetroot juice exercise?
Top Reason — If you want to combat fatigue.
It works like a natural energy booster.
Benefits of beetroot juice
Beetroots have tremendously healthy benefits. Do not underestimate the true power of this red vegetable.
- Beetroot is rich in folate, potassium, iron, manganese, and vitamin C.
- Beetroot has nitrate content, which helps to promote heart health.
- Great source to promote bone health
- Beetroot juice contains betaine, which helps the liver to reduce inflammation and toxins.
- Nitrate helps improve athletic performance. I highly recommend Consuming It at least 1–2 hours before your exercise regime.
- Beets can help to reduce stress and anxiety due to their uridine content.
- Beetroots are full of fiber, which is paramount for gut health.
How did I consume it?
I love to consume vegetables and fruits naturally as much as possible — no juices.
I avoid company-made products with added sugar. However, some brands provide natural juice without any extra sugar or preservatives. I did not consume any product (beet juice) off the shelf.
I wanted to buy fresh beets from the local market.
Wash the beets a couple of times, chop them into four pieces, and then, yahoo, blend them each morning as soon as I am up.
I consumed beetroot in the following pattern.
ONE ounce — First week
TWO ounces — Second week
THREE ounces — Third week
Four ounces — Fourth week
Why did I follow this weird 1, 2, 3, and 4 ounces strategy? Read the following.
Remedy — How to repair your liver?
I was watching a TikTok or YT; I don’t remember where I watched this video on repairing the liver with beetroot juice in merely four weeks.
The expert said something like this.
In the first week, drink 1 ounce of fresh beetroot juice each morning (empty stomach).
Drink 2 ounces of fresh beetroot juice each morning in the second week.
Drink 3 ounces of fresh beetroot juice each morning in the third week.
Drink 4 ounces of fresh beetroot juice each morning in the fourth week.
Then, do the liver tests (AST+ALT) to see the results. I usually do my medical tests twice a year.
I can only comment on whether juice helped to repair the liver once someone with abnormal functions has done the tests and shared it with the readers.
Note
I did not replace juice with any meal. I am a huge advocate of eating a balanced diet in its most natural way and then consuming juices as supplements.
Results — 30+ days of drinking beetroot juice each morning
Beetroots have many benefits, but here are my observations in the four weeks.
- I literally saw a massive jump in my athletic performance.
- I did not use any pre-workout except beetroot juice first thing in the morning, and then after 45 minutes, I hit the gym. Research suggests you should consume beetroot juice 2–3 hours before training, but I always hit the gym after 45 minutes to 1:30 hours. It always worked.
- Yes, I declare that beetroot juice is a natural energy booster.
- You can say goodbye to chronic constipation.
- Beetroots are full of fiber, and your digestive system will say thanks each morning.
- After 1–2 weeks, my stool was close to red. I got a bit worried, but I had no physical symptoms of tiredness or low energy. After researching, I learned it is pretty common; some people even pee red.
- There was not a noticeable color change in my pee.
Side effects of beetroot juice
Like any food, regardless of how healthy the food is, moderation is the key.
Beetroot juice is an excellent source for a balanced diet but has some potential side effects.
Oxalates
Beetroots are high in oxalate, compounds that can cause the formation of kidney stones. If you are dealing with any problem related to your kidney, I suggest talking to your doctor before jumping on to doing this experiment.
Natural sugars
Beetroots are full of natural sugars. Therefore, drinking a large quantity of beetroot juice can affect blood sugar. Do not consume beetroot juice if you have diabetes. Consult your physician.
Bloating
I did not experience any bloating or direct, but it’s possible some people might experience it after consuming beetroot juice. Therefore, I suggest starting with merely one ounce a day for a week, then gradually increasing your intake.
Did I see any side effects?
While doing 30+ days of challenges, readers always asked me if I faced any side effects.
I did not see any side effects.
In fact, I did my complete blood count (CBC) last week, and everything was normal.
My doctor said my stats are optimal.
I will not say that it happened because of the beetroot juice. As I said earlier, I am a massive advocate of a balanced diet, and these add-ons (2 bananas a day, 2 tbsp olive oil, healthy experiments, etc.) are just supplements to work as the cherry on the pie.
The bottom line
In conclusion, beetroot juice is a power pack with all the natural ingredients.
I can 100% say that beetroot juice helped me to boost my energy levels.
If you are looking for a natural energy booster before your workout, I suggest consuming 2–3 ounces of fresh beetroot juice for at least 1–2 hours before your session.
Beetroot helps to improve blood flow and oxygen delivery to muscles.
Research shows that consuming beetroots can help to improve cognitive function in older people.
Research also suggests that beetroot has the power to fight cancer, especially colon cancer.
Beetroot juice contains betaine, which can help to improve liver health.
It’s a great source to add to your balanced diet if you are dealing with fatty liver disease.
You can also consume beetroots leaves because they are rich in vitamins A and K.
Caution:
The red pigment in beetroots is bad for your clothes. Stains are permanent. I destroyed a couple of T-shirts while experimenting. That is true; it has been used as a natural dye for centuries.
