I Choose to Love and Embrace Who I Am

A daily reminder to practice gentleness

I strongly believe that I co-create my reality. The way I see and interact with this world is intimately connected with how I love and embrace myself. There is no one else like me, and so when I truly love and embrace myself, I declare myself as worthy of belonging to this world.

This radical self-love needs to keep evolving to accomodate who I’ve grown to be at every step of my life’s journey. With every new relationship, birth of every new baby in my life, every new achievement, and every new goal to move towards, I am re-birthing a new me into this world.

I might leap into passion or despair. I might be immensely proud of myself or ashamed of myself. I might question who I really am and what I really want.

With every step of the way, I need to choose to love myself again, so that I can continue to expand into more possibilities.

Last night, I had a beautiful online healing session facilitated by a new friend, Janice Melmed, who lives in South Africa. I have been reading her fascinating memoir, Weird Shit, which is so profoundly fascinating and touching. She has such a beautiful and compassionate presence, and I’m most grateful to her for helping me release the energetic contraction in my heart center. My heart feels so expansive and energized after her session now, which made me feel even more inspired to write this daily reminder on self-love!

Her session reminded me to put myself back into my life’s equation, and to start planting the seeds I want to grow in my life! I have been trying to live for my famiy and others instead of for myself. That is truly not sustainable and I’ve been feeling too drained to even care for my loved ones in the way I want. Now that I’m feeling much more open and alive again, I am going to cherish myself and co-create my reality more consciously and lovingly.

  • how are you ignoring your wants and needs in your life right now?
  • how can you allow your heart to feel open to give and receive more love?
