I Became a Top Writer in Travel in March. Now, I’m a Top Writer in Inspiration too!

Here’s my Medium story. Can you tell me if I am dreaming?

Never have I ever thought of this in my wildest dreams! The words “Top Writer” seemed to have no connection to me. I’m just an ordinary person who’s starting to nurture a passion for writing. What’s going on?

Here’s How I Got Started on Medium

I joined Medium in December 2021. I wrote a few pieces here and there and posted a story maybe weekly.

There was a little traction with my stories, but not much.

Starting in January, I decided to up my game on Medium and see where it takes me. Therefore, I started posting more.

My publishing schedule became two times a day.

Yep, you heard me. I published two stories each and every single day where possible. I submit most of my stories through publications, so the frequency varies a little bit. It depends on when the stories get approved and posted.

I aim to push through at least one to three stories a day. If my stories are not published in time, I will self-publish one to keep consistent.

There were no grounds for negotation.

I was publishing something, no matter what.

Becoming a Top Writer

I genuinely believe that my consistency and commitment made a difference.

As soon as I dedicated myself to this new publishing schedule, my writing started to gain more exposure.

The month went by and I continued to post. To my disbelief, I became a Top Writer in Travel in March! I’m still a bit dumbfounded about this.

I racked my brain, thinking about what I did to earn this title. A few of my stories gained a lot of views and reads, so I think that had to do with it.

Here were some of the posts I deem to be viral. (Psst, check them out after you’ve finished this one! It really helps writers on Medium! Thank you!)

I continued to post relentlessly, every single day.

Then suddenly, it happened again!

In April, I became a Top Writer in Inspiration. This must be a dream!

Not once, but twice. And in different writing categories! I feel like I’m floating on a cloud, surrounded by a beautiful rainbow and unicorns. It’s incredible!

I am so thankful for all my readers and followers. I would not be where I am without all the heartwarming support.

As a follow-up story, I’d like to think about the things I did and try to figure out some strategies that led to my success. I would love to share my findings.

In the meantime, check out some of the pieces below that did really well in the Inspiration category.

Make sure to follow me so that you can get notified when I post my findings!

Oh, and leave me a comment too if you have time! I love reading comments!
