Summary

The website provides a detailed guide to a "9 Chakra" meditation inspired by the poem "I Am That, All Is That," which aligns each line of the poem with a specific chakra for a transformative meditative experience.

Abstract

The web content introduces a unique meditation practice that combines the recitation of a poem with chakra focus. The meditation, updated on January 7, 2021, is based on a 9 chakra system, which includes the traditional 7 chakras plus the Earth Star and Soul Star chakras. The author, Alan Lew, was inspired to create this meditation after writing the poem "I Am That, All Is That." The meditation is designed to be flexible, allowing practitioners to start from either the Earth Star or Soul Star chakra and move through the chakras in a cyclical manner, repeating lines from the poem that correspond to each energy center. The article also provides a brief overview of each chakra's location and representation, and it offers additional resources for readers interested in learning more about chakras and meditation. The meditation aims to help individuals realize their potential as creators and to integrate their spiritual consciousness with their physical reality.

  • The author values the feedback and engagement of the readers, inviting comments, questions, and typo corrections, and provides multiple channels for contact and further exploration of their work.

I do this meditation a lot!

We are Creators Creating our Creations (a meditation)

[Updated Jan 7, 2021] A quick and easy “9 Chakra” meditation; formerly “I Am That”.

by realhardwork (Pixabay)

I was inspired in the middle of the night a few weeks ago to write this poem:

At the time, I thought it was also a meditation — simply contemplating the words, their meanings, and flow. Since then, I have been actually using it as a meditation for myself on a fairly regular basis. It can be very short or made longer. I often combining it with a morning Reiki attunement/Chakra meditation that I do every day.

As a poem, you can read it through the link above.

As a Chakra Meditation…

AS a chakra meditation, I have modified the poem a little. I also use a ‘9 chakra system’, which includes the 7 body chakras, plus the Earth Star Chakra, located about 12 inches below the feet, and the Soul Star Chakra, located about 12 inches above the head (see image below).

I was amazed at how well the lines in the poem line up with the chakras that they fall upon. Even if you are not fully familiar with what each chakra represents, I think you will benefit from this. However, I have provided a brief description of each of the 9 chakras after the meditation below.

Instructions

YOU can start the meditation with either the Soul Star Chakra (top to bottom) or Earth Star Chakra (bottom to top). You will be cycling from one end to the other and you can end at either the top or bottom.

The following starts with the Earth Star Chakra.

Steps:

  1. Take any comfortable position, including sitting on a chair or laying on your bed. Standing is OK, though it might not be as restful.
  2. Focus your attention on the starting chakra (Earth Star or Soul Star).
  • In addition to a mental focus, you can place one or both hands directly on, or hovering above, the chakra location. If using your hands, you will need to hover them pointing in the direction of the Earth Star Chakra below you, and Soul Star Chakra above you.
  • Optionally, try to feel your prana or chi energy moving from your heart to the chakra area, possibly through your hands.

2. Move your focus (and hands) to each chakra as you go through the lines of the meditation, saying the line either out loud or silently to yourself.

  • Optionally, you may pause on a chakra and repeat its line more than once, as you feel appropriate. I often repeat the line 3 times on each chakra before moving to the next.

3. When you reach the opposite “I” go in the other direction through the chakras back to where you started. Loop from one end to the other as long as you feel comfortable.

  • You can either say the “I” statement once, and then move in the opposite direction. Or you can repeat the “I” line when you start the opposite flow.

4. You can, of course, modify these instructions in whatever ways works best for you. I am always experimenting.

  • One modification that I recommend is after cycling through the “I” and “All” rounds a couple of time, or even just once, stop and feel a sense of integration of all the chakras. This can be supplemented with the mantra “I” and/or “All”. The start the cycle sequence again.

Line By Line:

“I” (Earth Star Chakra — focus awareness or hands pointed toward or touching the earth below you; you can optionally start with the Soul Star Chakra)

“I am” (Root Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the base of the torso and between the legs, hands can be on the outside of the thighs) “I am that” (Sacral Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the pelvis or hips) “I am that…creator” or just “Creator” (Solar Plexus Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the area between the navel and ribs) “I am that…creating” or just “Creating” (Heart Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the Spiritual Heart in the center of the chest) “I am that…creation” or just “Creation” (Throat Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the throat, especially the pit area) “I am that” (Third Eye Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the area between the eyebrows, or the center of the head) “I am” (Crown Chakra — focus awareness or hands on the top of the head)

“I” (Soul Star Chakra — focus awareness or hands pointed toward the area above the head)

(return in opposite direction)

“All” (Soul Star — or skip this and just move to Crown)

“All is” (back to the Crown Chakra) “All is that” (Third Eye) “All is that…creator” or “Creator” (Throat, note that the ‘creator’ is first, as above) “All is that…creating” or “Creating” (Heart) “All is that…creation” or “Creation” (Solar Plexus) “All is that” (Sacral) “All is” (Root)

“All” (Earth Star)

(return in opposite direction — I often do each line 3 times in this second round)

“I” (Earth Star, in this example) “I am” “I am that” “I am that…creator” / “Creator” (continue as above; note that the sequence is: ‘creator’ ‘creating’ ‘creation’)

(end with either the Soul Star Chakra or Earth Star Chakra)

Optional closing: “Om Tat Sat” (“I am that infinite, eternal Source” — see fuller translation below)

“You are indeed learning to be creators… and you are already, in your terms, creators. And by the products of your creations shall you learn to see yourselves and know what you are. And through the mirror of physical reality do you see materialized the inner selves. And through your creations shall you realize your abilities and your responsibilities even as we.” — Seth II/Jane Roberts, The Early Class Sessions, Book 2, ESP Class Session, January 13, 1970

Notes

  • Inspired by Om Tat Sat
  • Om = I = Source or God unmanifested Tat = That = “I am That” Sat = Universal, Eternal, and Infinite Om Tat Sat is the mantra given by Krishna to Arjuna in chapter 17 of the Bhagavad Gita, which, if said before any thought or action, will help to move one to a higher level of spiritual consciousness.
