Summary

The author expresses anger towards societal norms, corruption, and passive bystanders rather than personal grievances or disrespect.

Abstract

The poem titled "I am Angry" by Vicky Jangra conveys a strong sense of frustration and indignation towards what the author perceives as the hypocrisy of society's rules and the inaction of individuals in the face of wrongdoing. The author clarifies that their anger is not directed at any specific person, government, past relationships, or even those who harbor negative feelings towards them. Instead, the anger is aimed at the façade of a 'Fake Society' and the people who act like animals, remaining silent and inactive when witnessing injustice. The author questions the complacency of those who stand by quietly, likening them to statues or dead people, and wonders how they can tolerate wrongdoing and sleep at night. The poem also touches on the love for freedom of speech and the frustration with 'dirty politics' and 'Corrupted Politicians' within a democratic country. The author identifies themselves as both angry and awakened, suggesting a call to consciousness and action.

I am Angry

A Poetry

I am not angry on any person,

not angry on any government,

not angry on my past relationships,

But I am angry with Fake Society Rules.

I am not angry with animals,

But I am angry with people behaves like animals.

I am not angry with people hate me,

I am not angry with people to disrespect me,

I am not angry with people to abuse me,

I am angry with people who don’t do anything and stand quietly.

Anger is not my weakness,

I just don’t understand how people stay quite seeing wrong?

They stand like a statue, like dead people, like no emotions,

How they even tolerate this?

How could they even able to get sleep at night?

I am from a democratic country,

I love my freedom of speech,

But I am angry with dirty politics in everything,

I am angry with Corrupted Politicians.

“Yes, I am Angry and Awaken”.
