I Am A Hypocrite
Poetry Fiction June Challenge Day 14
I am not one but two one that you see other hidden in me
that bright smile you see on my face is brought by force while the hidden me is burning in the furnace of pain and sadness
you hear my loud laughter at your silly jokes while the hidden me is bitter in your presence
I drive my car to all places far and near while the hidden me frets about global warming
I enjoy my meal of delicious lamb steaks and beef burgers I find comfort and warmth in my woolen sweaters while the hidden me is screaming for animal rights
I employ children below fifteen years for the benefit of paying low wages while the hidden me abhors child labor
Yes! I am a hypocrite I bet Every man is…

Maybe today is my day, got that inspiration. Thanks to Alex Kilcannon Martine Weber for your love and support. Remember, I fretted about it — that demon writer’s block ? And you girlz patted my back, that was just enough to boost my creativity. Love you, thanks.
