Hungry Spirits

We walk the earth gobbling up energy, feeding our starving souls.

Photo by Gian D. on Unsplash

Watchers from heaven, creation’s angelic fiasco, bypassing insight.

Dark hidden bodies, contouring within the night, as wandering friends.

Outlined in shadow, torches of our inner soul, gathering the light.

To witness our shame, honoring love, judging pain. They observe unseen.

A coin on the ground, the coincidental event, serendipity.

Guided by voices, whispering truths in our head, feeding direction.

Our hungry spirits yearn to feast on Heaven’s light. Sealed inside our skins.
