How Tokens Will Build Political Enlightening Communities All Over the World

How we can use blockchain to make the politics better.

We always think everything is ok with politics until one day it isn’t.

In Europe, the extreme right-wing continues to gain ground. In Portugal, we already have the extreme right-wing in Parliament. In Austria, the extreme right-wing already governs the country.

In the United States, we had Donald Trump completely dividing the country and instigate violence on Capitol Hill. In Brazil, Bolsonaro seems like a figure out of a comic book, claiming that the pandemic doesn’t exist while thousands of graves are opened to bury the infected.

If you really think that world politics is ok, start reading some news. The wealth gap turns breeds more and more dissatisfaction and hopelessness, while central banks worldwide manage a vicious system that benefits the few, while the poor get poorer.

Sorry to make this intro with a dim view about politics, but we must be aware because we think it doesn’t affect us until the day it does.

The complete financialization of the economy is changing the morality of politics, as more and more it has to do with money printing and debts, and less to do with productivity, companies, and ordinary people like you and me.

I’ve been studying innovation and technology for several years, and for those who are less aware of technological disruption, a new economy is being designed, 100% digital, decentralized, based on smart contracts, tokens, and communities.

Meet the Man With a Radical Plan for Blockchain Voting.

A political theorist named Santiago Siri created a nonprofit startup, Democracy.Earth, to fix the world’s broken politics with the help of the blockchain.

“We want to tokenize the like,” Siri says.

Siri created a project that he calls “political cryptocurrency” — blockchain-generated tokens that users can spend as votes.

Siri dreams of a new kind of social media platform on which we spend “vote tokens” that can do anything, from electing politicians and passing referendums to enacting the bylaws of a social club or establishing the business plan of a corporation. It’s Democracy by click.- wired.com.

The interesting thing about the blockchain is that the middle man is being replaced by protocols managed by code created by developers. And while these ecosystems have evolved to dematerialize various industries, the last of which is the finance industry, now new projects are turning to politics.

Do not undervalue the power of decentralization, as we already have countries like El Salvador, Tanzania, and Paraguay adopting Bitcoin as a legal tender. Change is really happening, and young citizens worldwide have already realized it, with the advantage of interpreting the digital language much better than Millennials and GenZ.

When the Bitcoin network started to grow worldwide, many said it would be a Ponzi Scheme, a get-rich-quickly scheme, or another kind of critics. However, here we are, with Goldman Sachs close to offering bitcoin and other digital assets to its wealth management clients and the Wyoming state buying Bitcoin to its balance sheets.

At the same time, the Federal Reserve is studying the adoption of a cryptocurrency (some have already named it Fedcoin) managed by a CBDC (Central Bank Digital Currency). So, the change is happening in the financial world.

The question is about politics. When will politicians start to talk publicly about the necessity of moralizing politics with technological innovations that get it more transparent, stable, and democratic?

If the dream of bitcoin, the token generated by Satoshi Nakamoto’s blockchain, was to free money from central bank control, then the dream of Sovereign is to free politics from central government control.- wired.com

In the following decades, we’re going to witness a titan fight between total centralization and libertarian decentralization of everything.

Governments and central banks will use technology to complete the centralization of the monetary system, with the goal/illusion of avoiding future massive financial crises.

The blockchain and the Bitcoin network are designed to fight against central banks, using code and cryptography to solve economic constraints, building individual sovereignty for every human being on earth.

Between these two massive forces, something new will be created.

Anyone that belongs to a party stops thinking.

The blockchain will not fix everything, for sure. But it’s making a massive move into a more transparent way of building tokens and communities much more close to politics.

Final Thoughts

If we’re involved in the decision-making of a tokenized new system, we’ll clearly know how our opinions were taken into account, and we can make our conclusions, moralizing the ecosystem in future elections.

These issues are not just being discussed, but most importantly, they are being redesigned in a decentralized system, putting this kind of discussion in a competitive mode now.

Meaning, the younger generations will obviously be more aware of these decentralized networks, use them, and finding new ways to materialize these digital tokens into their lives.

If new political ecosystems can be built where every voter can retain their tokens, citizens will feel more evolved in the decision-making process.

Most politicians complain about the difficult task of communicating with ordinary citizens; of course, they do. They work in a centralized system, where their decisions are far from making a real difference in every citizen’s life.

I believe technology will give transparency to the political system, build a closer relationship between politicians and ordinary citizens, and open the fundraising system by tokenizing donations from billionaires and lobbyists.

We saw our lives benefit from the digitization of all mobile devices by Apple, the digitization of our social network by Facebook, the digitization of front-stores by Amazon, the digitization of libraries by Google. Yet, with flaws, the system improved, directly and indirectly, all of our lives.

The financial world is being digitalized as we speak. The political world will be next.

The Exponential Age is now a reality, with the Internet of Things being built to bring abundance and prosperity to all human beings.

I believe in the power of technology because tech is made by humans for humans. It only creates new tools to improve our quality of life. Technology was constantly developed to solve human problems.

We live in a world where the gamification is disrupting all sectors of the economy. Incentives are being built to create new infrastructures.

Humans will be the great beneficiaries of this new era. The destructive power of digital forces will win against the analog world. And it will be observed more fashionably in the following decades.

Robots will steal most of our jobs, but all-new industries will rise. New monetary systems will have to be invented because most people on the planet will not need to produce anything. But they will build unique ecosystems to turn planet earth into a better place to live.

A proper capitalist system can work well in an abundance environment because innovation is creativity, and creativity can build new needs, new ecosystems, new ways of living.

The deflationary force from technology is too great a force to be stopped. As much money central banks can create, they will not stop deflation from technology innovation.

The next great reset should contemplate deflation, where we could buy more with less. The Bitcoin network was built under that same premise. Unfortunately, however, central banks are working in the opposite direction.

Let us see if we can find an intelligent way to embrace abundance without too much damage.

To do that, we must understand the primary goal of technology: to create a better life for all human beings.
