You Need More Than a Mask to Survive This Pandemic
There’s more to do

The world is at war and the battlefield is your mind and your body. Your soldiers are your immune system and your weapons are what you consume. It is important that you prepare your battlefield — have your soldiers on guard at all times — and your weapons sharpened and ready to go.
Everybody is at war and taking precautions to fight. Your immune system can use all the help it can get. You can't control what happens at war, but you can prepare your soldiers and have your weapons ready.

The Battlefield
The battle is not just against the physical body but also against the mind. When I talk about the things we consume, I am not only talking about what we consume through our mouths. I am also talking about the things we consume through the information we take in through our eyes and ears.
Pay attention to the energies you feel throughout the day — both positive and negative. Protect yourself from any unwanted thoughts and opinions. Never allow people to impose their thoughts and feelings on you.
Everybody is entitled to their own ideas and opinions but be mindful not to impose your opinions — and project your fears onto others. Stress weakens the immune system. Your energy is your top soldier. If you feel good vibrationally, you are healthy.
It is also important that whatever you consume during this time is strengthening and not depleting your immune system. Pay attention to the things that are stressing you out. It weakens your immunity and you can't win a war with weak soldiers.
The foods you consume have great power in protecting and shielding you from harm. Many foods have anti-viral potential and it's important to take advantage of them.
You Have to Fight
You have to put yourself in the best possible position to win. Nutrition is critical. The foods you eat decide your chances of surviving. It dictates how strong your immune system is — the same way a weapon improves the abilities of a soldier.
We need to eat foods that fight back against viruses. Be cautious — there are certain foods that can weaken your immune system. But we won't go into that in this article. We will only talk about superfoods that supercharge our immune system and get us ready to fight.
Pick Your Weapon
From regular colds to flu to the coronavirus, your immune system could use a boost. It could use a weapon to help it fight against any viruses it encounters throughout the day.
Here are some weapons that I find very powerful and makes me feel great and ready to take on anything.
1. Fruits and Vegetables
Your first line of defense is fruits and vegetables. They keep the enemy out. Fruits and vegetables double the strength of an immune response. Go for a colorful selection, organic if you can afford it.
Fruits like oranges, strawberries, lemons, limes, blueberries, kiwi, apples, pineapples, wild berries, bananas, avocados, coconuts, grapefruits are rich in Vitamin C which is very effective in building a stronger immune system to suppress viral attacks.
Mom was right when she said eating your vegetables makes you strong. Vegetables and leafy greens like broccoli, ginger, garlic, onions, peppers, asparagus, carrots, kale, spinach are such powerful weapons. They are rich and effective immune boosters that will help you fight by boosting your red blood cells.

2. Nuts and Seeds
Nuts such as almonds, peanuts, pecans, hazelnuts, pistachios, walnuts and more are all effective for boosting the immune system. Not only do they have magnesium, but they’re also rich in vitamin E, an antioxidant that’s been shown to improve the body’s ability to fight off bacteria and viruses.
Seeds like sunflower seeds are also among the best sources of vitamin E. So grab yourself a handful of nuts or seeds and get cracking. Have your weapons do the work of keeping you safe.
3. Yogurts
Yogurt is another useful weapon to consider. It is rich in probiotics, the good bacteria which support gut health. A huge proportion of the immune system is in the gastrointestinal tract. Eating yogurt daily can improve immune function by increasing the body’s production of antibodies that fight off viruses. Yogurt boosts the immune system and makes it more resistant to disease.
4. Seafood
The omega-3 fatty acids found in some types of fish such as salmon, sardines, herring, and mackerel can help enhance the function of the immune system. It may also enhance the activity of white blood cells, which further strengthens immunity. Zinc, a mineral abundant in oysters and other seafood works well to strengthen the immune system.
5. Water
Water is one of your greatest weapons. You cannot win without it. Your body is 70% water — it needs clean, pure, spring water to function properly. Staying hydrated is so important. Drinking more water boosts your energy levels — which boosts immunity — and improves your overall health and wellbeing.
You can also get your water through fruits and vegetables. Drinking water has a huge impact on your immune system by flushing out toxins and removing waste from your body.

6. Exercise
Exercise is another one of your weapons. Moderate, not intense exercise, is important. Over-training lowers your immune system so avoid vigorous workouts during this time. Stretching improves your overall wellbeing, which can help boost your immune system.
A simple exercise like walking is great in helping your body fight off infections.
7. Meditation
Meditate and be still. Pray. Quiet your mind. This will help you win the battle against your mind. It can help you release and let go of dense energies you picked up throughout your day.
If you are like me, you probably find meditation to be very difficult. I talk more about my experience with meditation here. Also, practice gratitude daily. There is always something to be grateful for. Gratitude is linked to a more powerful immune system.
8. Sleep
Sleep is so important. It is your greatest weapon. You can do all the above, but if you are not sleeping well, then you've been wasting your time and energy all along. Your body needs sleep.
The body needs sleep so it can rest and recharge. Sleep helps the immune system because it improves T cells in our body which enhances the immune response when a potentially harmful foreign body enters the system.
Adults need a minimum of seven hours of sleep every night for improved health and well-being. Good sleep enhances your body’s ability to destroy cells infected by viruses.
You Can Win
If you do these things I am not saying you become invincible or anything like that — but you will be in the best position possible to handle anything that comes your way. Also, stay at home whenever you can and stay smart. Limit the amount of time listening to the media.
Don't get sick. Protect your energy. Watch out for people that bring your vibration down. Practice social distancing, use gloves carefully making sure not to cross-contaminate, wear your face masks and whatever you do, do not touch your face with unclean hands.
And oh, let's not forget other weapons like vitamins and supplements. I am not a doctor so I won't say which ones to take — but you know your body best — so find out which ones work best for your immune system or talk to a doctor.
Now I want to hear from you! Are you ready for this war? Are your soldiers ready and in good shape? And what weapons are you going to battle with? Can you think of any others that could benefit us all?
Let us know in the comments below so we can all be prepared. All the best and I hope you win your war! Thank you so much for reading.
