Social media is an imperative part of any successful marketing plan, but growing your brand’s audience on various social media platforms can be difficult.

We’ve all been there; you spend hours creating an article, and when you’re done, all you want is to share it with the world, but marketing your content for social media can be a hassle.

It’s easy to get discouraged when you’re faced with the prospect of slogging through hours of Excel sheets or trying to recreate that last-minute PowerPoint presentation.

The good news is that there are plenty of different ways to market your content for social media; you just have to know how to effectively go about it.

How do you do that?

Well, it all comes down to marketing your content for social media using the right strategies.

The Five Ways To Market Content For Social Media

What are these five strategies? Let me explain;

1. “Curated collections of content” — an organic, organic way to market content for social media…

“Content curation” — a strategy that delivers your content with authority.

Most people believe that content marketing is all about creating content, but that’s only part of it. The other part lies within the marketing of this content, and this means navigating through an organized and sophisticated manner to ensure your articles are shared, retweeted, and liked on social media.

This is where “content curation” comes into play…

Content curation is the practice of compiling and organizing information from a wide variety of content sources to produce a piece of curated content. It is most commonly used to create FAQs, how-tos, and other pieces that take users through a process of learning.

The benefit of using content curation is that it allows the audience to see different content sources on the same topic. This can encourage a user to engage with your content by sharing it or liking it on social media.

Content curation can be used to market any piece of content effectively. You just have to dig a little deeper.

Now, I know you’re probably wondering how you can effectively curate content.

Well, it’s simple! You just have to ask yourself this question: “How can I find other content that’s both similar and different to my own?”, and then go out there and find pieces of the most organic content on your topic.

After you’ve gathered this content, you can then proceed to curate your own piece of content from this collection of pieces.

2. Creating an “event” of content — a more robust way for your content to be shared on social media.

Creating an event of content is a way to attract users to your content, and the best part is that it takes very little effort to do.

This strategy will make it easier for you to market content. In fact, once you’ve created an event of content, users will automatically link your name with quality content. This will give your blog or website more exposure in the eyes of users; this means that there’s a higher probability that they’ll link you and your brand with quality content.

This strategy can do wonders for your content marketing campaign; in fact, it can take you from “brand A” to “brand B” in the eyes of users.

All you have to do is create an event of content around the event.

Here’s how this strategy works; what you need to do is take the focus off yourself and place it on your content, or in other words, make the content you’re producing a direct representation of the event you’re working with.

The best way to do this is by leveraging your brand name and creating a special piece of content that will be released at a specific time. For instance, if you want to create an event around sending out a survey on content marketing, go ahead and publish your piece of content at the same time that you’re sending out your survey.

By doing this, you’ll be making it more likely for people to click through to your piece when their attention is drawn towards the “survey event”, and therefore it’s likely that users will link from their website or blog to the article when they’re creating content around the event.

3. The combination of “content marketing” and “social media” — these strategies will give you the edge.

Content Marketing + Social Media = More Exposure

Yes, it’s true. Since you can’t market content the same way everywhere, these two strategies allow you to make the most of content marketing and social media. They work especially well together because of the synergy between them.

For instance, if your social media is a Twitter account and your website or blog is a Facebook page, then you’ll see a greater number of shares and likes when you market your content using this combination. It’s because when people share your post on Twitter, they’ll find themselves more likely to share it on Facebook as well.

Want to take advantage of this synergy? Then keep these two strategies in mind when you’re creating content.

4. Blogging for content marketing and social media — the power of blogging your content for social media.

This is one of the most powerful strategies I’ve seen; in fact, I’d go as far as to say that this strategy is almost a “must-have” when it comes to effective content marketing techniques.

You see, many bloggers consider their blog as a platform through which they can market their online shop and earn money online. This is why they spend a lot of time on their blogs, and this is why they blog daily.

Blogging for content marketing and social media is much more effective than simply posting an article to social media and promoting it there because the content you blog will be shared multiple times on different sites; therefore, the exposure of your content is multiplied many times over.

Here’s an example: let’s say that you have a blog, called “myfabricblog” which is about fabric printing techniques. You decide to blog about the SEO technique on your blog and share it on Facebook, Twitter, and a few other social media sites.

By doing this, you’ll be giving your content the opportunity to reach more people than just your followers. The problem is that when you share your post on Facebook and Twitter, only a limited number of people will see it — and are likely to leave it there.

On the other hand, if you write an article and blog it as well; not only will more people see it but they’ll also like or comment on it. This means that you’re giving these users much greater exposure because they can share your content with their friends or on their own social media profiles as well.

One thing that you need to make sure of is that you only share your content on the social media sites which are relevant to your content.

5. The “guest blog” — why this strategy works so well.

The guest blog is a very powerful strategy that’s used by quality bloggers and content marketers to get quality links from other sites. If you’re wondering how this strategy works, then keep reading because I’ll explain it below!

The “guest blog” was created by marketing expert and author Neil Patel; he wrote strategies and best practices as a guest blogger for high authority sites. By doing this, Neil Patel was able to gain valuable links from these high authority sites and blog posts, which were then ranked higher in the search engine results pages.

This gave him an edge over other bloggers because the content he wrote was relevant to these sites and therefore he would rank higher in their search engine rankings. This is how bloggers can promote their own blog posts and drive traffic.

Go ahead and leverage this strategy by finding a high authority blog that’s relevant to your brand, writing a guest post on it, and linking back to your blog post as well.

Here’s how it works: you create a good article and then send it to a blog owner who has a decent audience size. By doing this, you’ll be creating a unique and straightforward opportunity for people who see your work to learn about your business or website.

The article you send will be in line with the topic of their work, and since you’re guest blogging for them, they’ll be more likely to link to your content. This means that when people find (and read) your post, they’ll also visit your site. In addition to this, other readers of the blog will also visit the page because they’ll see a potential link on the page — click through to this new piece of content and find it useful.

It’s really an opportunity that could be taken advantage of by any blogger — all you need is a good article and an audience who will read it.

Summarize

These tactics might sound simple, but you’d be surprised by how effective they can be for marketing your content for social media; in fact, I know it seems like there are thousands of different ways to market content, and that’s because there are.

There are plenty of different ways to market your content, but these five strategies will give you an all-around perspective on how to market your content effectively. It’s important to give your content the best chance for success by giving it a strong marketing strategy; one that will benefit you and help you to improve your business.
