How To Make Money As A TikTok Creator
A fun side gig that pays well
I just started on Tiktok yesterday despite having the app on my phone for months. I know that some people who are new to Tiktok go on Youtube to learn how to upload videos but I wanted none of that. I am a tad impatient.
So I looked around and saw a “Make video” button and filmed my cats going out the door for a walk. I did 3 videos in succession and clicked on post. Almost 12 hours later I have over 1000 views and growing.
I saw another button to upload pictures, so I uploaded pictures of my gelato and cappuccino. It’s getting views but not as much as my cat videos. I also sent the link to Facebook. I added text, video, and hashtags with each video I loaded up. I also found out that you can add a description to hopefully get more hits.
You, too, can upload videos and join the Tiktok community. Just be aware of folks who want to be friends with you. I have had too many males send me a message saying I am beautiful and all that song and dance. Even despite my saying I am married. There are tons more alluring young things on there, why me? Romance scam? New Tiktokers beware.
So I had to resort to some tactics. I offered to tell them about Jesus and God if there were interested. One took up the offer and I send him info about some Jesus websites. The other one went off someone to hassle somebody else. I was thinking like a medium writer and didn’t want to block the Tiktoker unless he engaged in too much harassment. I asked for some views in exchange for viewing his videos, too. It worked!
Making Money
To make money you have to meet the criteria of 10,000 followers and 100,000 views. I don’t have the numbers yet but hope to make it someday. If you do have the numbers, cash will be rolling in and you can be an influencer and more. It’s only in select countries, including the United States, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain. I hear it's coming to Canada this year, so Canadians jump on board to meet the criteria. Once you are on board as part of the Tiktok creator program, you can connect with brands for sponsorship opportunities. Sounds good, eh? Influencers with tons of followers can make up to $1000 per piece. Enough to quit the day job.
