SELF-AWARENESS

How To Give Back to the World and Be Responsible Universal Citizens?

The quality of your subconscious program, thus choices, is the keyword!

The quality of your subconscious program, thus choices, is the keyword!

With a traumatic history that almost pushed me to commit suicide, I needed to learn the hard way what made me that fragile and a “perfect” victim to manipulation and abuse.

When I was saved, I had the opportunity to see the lies of my invasive subconscious program. This program is written for our species from before birth to 7. In other words, our life experiences are defined by what someone else wrote for us.

“The subconscious mind is the most important part of our mind, but neglected by most people. It’s where our fundamental issues reside.” ~ Alex Webley

Since I made the decision to take my power back and set myself free from the virtual prison that I was not responsible for creating, I educated myself and embarked on a painful journey of destroying my program and building it from scratch.

For this purpose, I was armed with tons of humility, honesty, openness, bravery, consistency, and a mission that goes beyond my person.

The compass was the “universal principles”, aka the conscience or the source, for the limiting beliefs about the world, and diving into the attachment theory for those about myself.

  • Comparison and the “hustle” for success rooted in a scarcity mentality,
  • Granting one’s family privileges in a business context rooted in lack of integrity,
  • Accumulating luxury belongings rooted in deep insecurities about who we are without what we possess,
  • Homophobia*** (violating human dignity, nature, respect of choice even if homosexuality was not natural, and equity) rooted in the extremist religious unconscious bias considering homosexuality as sinful,
  • Racism*** rooted in the same myths that legitimized slavery in the first place,
  • Poverty rooted in greed and entitlement (the same applies to global warming, wars and their by-products including hundreds of millions of vanished lives throughout human history, as well as horrific conditions in refugees ‘camps’), etc.

What do you think we are describing above? Bravo! Those are merely manifestations and symptoms of the distorted subconscious program.

That is, if all the inherently good individuals in the world rewire theirs, we will collectively:

Stop deepening the global imbalance and issues by breaking our self-absorption tendency fueled by the crippling anxiety and the unhealthy ego delusion of our self-importance in the universe so that we may pay attention to what’s happening around us and walk the talk.

Also, by means of adopting a responsible consumerism mindset. By responsible, I mean intentional, not only ecological. I mean our consumerism is driven by a genuine functional need, not some influenced decision; many times, presented in the most beautiful shape while manipulating the consumers’ fragility and unconscious bias to prove one’s worth or to chase the “feeling good” sensation.

The latter habit is vicious in the lengthy run as it triggers an accumulated internal dissonance that may explode at some point.

I’m aware many think Elon Musk is a hero because of contributing to the ecological industry. I might like his intellectual learned creativity. But is he truly contributing to making the world a better place through “luxury” products?

Should you be interested in knowing the difference between learned creativity and original one, the following piece would be a good fit:

Wouldn’t addressing the consumerism issue and most specifically luxury industry danger be way more effective for the greater good? Why would it mean anything to own a luxurious house or car while the main functions of a house or a car are fulfilled with an average kind of belonging, given that roughly 734 million people remain in extreme poverty (2016)?

Call it common sense, principles, conscience. Regardless of how you want to describe your measure of right and wrong, fundamentally, it would tell you how unfair and superficial it is.

Last but not least, it is our responsibility to start paying attention to the manipulation games; consequently, disable them. How? While re-writing our program, and during our self-awareness serious exercises, we learn to stimulate our critical thinking gift that was lying dormant for so long because of the emphasis on doing what we are told and “behaving”.

And when our program becomes principle-based, we can spot even the most subtle of the limiting beliefs in the data we are receiving from the external world, since they are analyzed by the fastest process: the subconscious mind.

The subconscious mind is responsible for 95% of our behavior and decisions. It can scan information at lightning speed. ~ Dr. Robert Newton

Here is an example I like to use when exploring the subtle limiting beliefs, which manipulators love to exploit:

I once listened to a podcast discussing some familiar challenges observed at schools and how to guide teachers in understanding and managing them. The guest was talking about a safe space for kids, and then about formal authority.

Making use of this kind of authority or encouraging it is a Win-Lose paradigm. It is one of the most shared patterns between manipulative personalities.

The person was promoting safety and then implicitly talking fear. Do you think people follow others because they are frightened of them? This limiting belief is the root cause of so many mental and psychological health problems.

People follow who they trust, and there is no trust with fear.

The acute problem which could occur is that, without being able to pay attention to it before it is too late, we may sadly confuse many manipulators with kind-hearted leaders, as they are masters in mirroring virtues.

Those subtle manipulators/abusers can be a family member, your friend, the teacher of your kids (the most vulnerable of all), your employer — you name it! They are everywhere and in all industries.

More often than we could wish, on the top of organizations, which explains why most organizational cultures are anything but empowering, and why most collaborators are treated like “things” instead of “whole” and report a low level of satisfaction in the workplace for their majority.

Use me creatively (mind), pay me fairly (body), treat me kindly (heart) in serving humanity in a principled way (spirit). — Stephen Covey

Final thoughts

My hope is that more and more “good human beings” will take the gigantic step of awakening the spirit, accessing the self-awareness endowment to re-write the program and stay with the pain long enough to transform, in lieu of giving into the mind temptation to instantly compensate for the discomfort via the numerous forms of awards/quick fixes — be it a delicacy, an addiction, a distraction, a series of actions, etc…

Note that I used the word hope instead of wish, intentionally, because I know it is possible. You are more powerful than you think you are. And the outcome for our beautiful blue planet and the generations unborn will be priceless!
