How To Explain Classical Music To Your Mother
Or anyone important to you and doesn’t know that much about classical music.
I think I have mentioned it a lot, but classical music is my favourite music genre. I love to play the violin myself, I have been to classical music concerts a lot in my life and I will continue to do it in the future.
I know more about classical music than any other music genre. It is just…
I just love it.
Sometimes it is not explicable how much you love something. It comes from the bottom of my heart, since my childhood.
Do you know what happens when I listen to classical music? My whole body explodes totally! This is for me such a great feeling.
Do you know what happens when I play the violin? I explode so much more.
That got me thinking too. I also realize that a lot of people don’t know much about classical music.
How do you explain classical music to your mother? Is it hard to get to know classical music?
The answer is no.
Is it hard to explain classical music to someone else?
The answer is no.
Where do I start telling something about classical music?
Start with something you know about classical music. For example, you know that Mozart was born in Austria, you could tell that to your mom during a conversation.
I also believe you don’t have to explain it to your mom all at once. I think the information will not land in your mom’s brain. When you’re having a conversation, and coincidently you bring things up.
There are some ways to introduce your mother (or anyone else) to classical music.
Bring it up during a conversation
When you are talking to someone, like your mom, you can bring things up what you know about classical music. You could do it when you think it is important. Or which the information you give is related to the conversation.
Of course, you don’t have to bring things up every conversation.
Just say: “did you know…”
When you’re doing your daily thing, at home, in the garden, or whatever things bring to your life, classical music is a great topic. When you’re cooking, say to your partner: “Hey Darling, did you know that (fill in the fact you learned)”. Your partner will be amazed you know such things. It also shows that you know about cultural topics that matter and have a huge history.
Link anything from daily life related to classical life through text
When you talk about daily things in life, there will be things you don’t know about, or that have a certain effect on your life, like a surgery. For example: when you’re mother is having sleeping problems after surgery, you could link an article about classical music which says that classical music is good to listen to before going to bed and that it has any effects on her sleeping routine.
It is important that classical music must stay alive. I think it will survive, but there must be more effort as the pop scene is dominant right now. A lot of people don’t know who Beethoven or Bach is. What is a violin? Most of them don’t know.
