THE PRACTICAL GUIDE
How To Drive Traffic To Your Medium Stories
A practical guide on how to be successful on Medium and drive traffic to your stories.

In this article, I would be sharing my humble practical experience as an author on Medium.
I know almost all of you came across tons of articles talking about the same topic and answering the same kind of questions.
Questions like: ▶ How to be successful on Medium? ▶ How to get followers? ▶ How to get more reads? ▶ How to reach more audience? ▶ How to get more traffic? ▶ And many similar questions…
I have the same experience, I also came across a lot of these articles. However, I noticed most of these articles are theoretical and most of the times the magical word is:
The content …
Don’t get me wrong, I am sure the content is important but believe it or not, sometimes good content is not appreciated enough and this is frustrating.
That’s why good content is not enough by itself, you need to invest more effort on other aspects as well.

Why Listen to Me?
First, let me introduce myself.
I am a Software Engineer with years of experience in this field. I started blogging many years ago but for me it was not something to do professionally. I used to write an article, sleep on it for months or something, and then may be write another one, and so on till at some point I stopped blogging for years.
Recently, I changed my mind about the whole thing and decided to get back to blogging but this time I had the intention to do it professionally. And this was the start.
My first article on Medium was on October 20, 2021. As you can see, up till the moment of writing this article -December 22, 2021- it is almost two months.
So, you might ask me:
Why do you think you have any experience to share?
My answer would be because I already have real experience which I gained through a lot of searches and trials even within these two months.
Additionally, I think as a beginner on Medium, my progress is good.

And I am a top writer on four topics.

And my top four articles have reached 104.6K views.

Additionally, almost all my articles are curated by Medium and some of my articles are highly ranked on Google that they landed on the first page.
Therefore, having that said, let’s now focus on the main purpose of this article.

Agenda
These are the main topics we are going to focus on:
- Good Content ▶ I promise it would be different 🙂
- Introducing yourself.
- How to come up with new ideas of what to write about?
- Promoting Membership and Subscription links.
- Adjusting article settings.
- Publishing through Publications.
- Organizing resources (links, keywords, title, subtitle, description, bookmarks,…).
- Promoting articles on Social Media.
- Using Links Indexers.
- Using Links Ping Services.
- Using Paid Services.
- Republishing to other platforms.
- Finding your newsletter subscribers on Social Media.
- For Software Engineers.
- Famous Medium Writers and Influencers.
It would be a long trip but I promise you would enjoy it to the end. So, let’s buckle up and start our trip.

Some links in the next sections could be referral/affiliate links. In such cases, a “[Referral Link]” text would be added beside the link itself. If you use these links to subscribe to the designated services, I might get a small part of the fee you pay but without any extra payments from your side. In other cases, it just helps me get some features activated on my own accounts.

Good Content
To talk about the good content, we need to cover the following points:
- Choosing the Right Niche.
- Choosing the Right Topic.
- Choosing the Right Title and Subtitle.
- Using Images.
- Content Itself.

Choosing the Right Niche
Ok, the first thing you need to think about is your Niche. In simple words, what you can write about many times without getting bored and you would always have something new to add.
It is important to find an answer to this question because your choice of the Niche which you are going to write about would have a direct impact on your progress and growth on Medium and as a blogger in general.
This would be the topic you are going to write about every day or day by day or even weekly. Therefore, you need to make sure you are ready for it, you know about it, you have hands-on experience with it, you have a source where you always get updates about it. Otherwise, it would be so hard and frustrating.

Choosing the Right Topic
Now, you know your Niche and it is the time to choose a Topic for your article.
You need to keep these points in your mind: ▶ Not everyone knows what you know. ▶ What you know is not necessarily known by all your peers. ▶ What you think is basic knowledge is not necessarily basic to others. ▶ There is always a beginner on some topic. ▶ Don’t underestimate your experience. ▶ You are not an expert on every topic you are going to write about. ▶ Don’t wait to be a superman-level expert on a topic to write about. ▶ Sometimes the achievement is in the way you are explaining something, not the something itself. ▶ Not every article you write would be a masterpiece. ▶ Not every article you write would be something totally new that nobody else ever talked about.
Having that said, I want to stress on something. When thinking about a topic for your new article, you might think it is too basic. Believe me, it might be basic to you but not to everyone out there, but, this doesn’t mean that you should be reckless about it.
Let me give you an example. Everyone old enough to open Medium and browse to your article would know what a car is. However, he should not necessarily know how to maintain a car, check the oil levels, breaks, the signs in the dashboard, and so on…
Therefore, it would not be wise to write an article about What Is a Car?, but it would be good to write an article about How To Check Your Car Health?
See the difference? this is so important to keep in mind. To be completely honest with you, What Is a Car? could work fine for an experienced writer with wide audience, but, it is not the safest thing to do. At the end, it is your own choice to make.
Another thing, there is always someone who is starting his knowledge gathering trip about some topic. Therefore, what is old to you is new to someone else.
Also, even if the topic you are writing about is not totally new, you still have a chance to add something valuable to someone. Didn’t you read before more than one article about a topic but only one of them gave you the satisfaction? I am sure you had this experience before.
This is because explaining something is an art and everyone has his own touch. Therefore, yes you might be writing about an old topic but you might also be covering it in a different way, an effective way.
Finally, in life there is always something new to learn. Therefore, don’t feel ashamed of lacking some knowledge and don’t make it an excuse for not writing. However, be honest and responsible of what you are writing, don’t claim knowledge about something when you don’t have it.

Choosing the Right Title and Subtitle
This is so important. You need to know that your Title and Subtitle are not just some eye-catching words. In the Search Engine Optimization (SEO) world, they are the real factors of why you are (not) getting traffic.
Sometimes, we tend to choose some poetic or tricky Titles and Subtitles thinking it would be funny or encouraging to readers, but, you need to know that most probably these Titles and Subtitles would first be processed by search engines bots and crawlers before they reach any audience, if they would actually reach any audience.
Therefore, my advice to you: ▶ Make your Title and Subtitle descriptive. ▶ Put in your keywords. ▶ Try to search the internet first using your Title and Subtitle and see if the results are actually related to your topic or not. ▶ There are a lot of resources on the internet about choosing the right keywords. You need to do your research.
Just as a quick note, to correctly set a Subtitle, you write your subtitle text on the line just after the Title, then highlight it and choose the small T as in the image below.

Additionally, there is something else I didn’t tell you about, yet.
With Medium articles, you can also add a Kicker. To do so, after setting the Title, you set the cursor before the Title, hit Enter, and then start typing. Finally, you highlight the text and click on the small T.

Using Images
Ok, the first image on your article is so important as this is the image most probably search engines would use as a thumbnail and would try to crawl its Alt text.
Therefore, try to choose an image which is: ▶ Of high quality and resolution. ▶ Descriptive. ▶ Eye-catching.
Also, don’t forget to set the Alt text of your cover image and all images you use on you article. Use it as a nice chance to add more relevant keywords to your topic and article content.
Images in general are good as they make your content more visible and representable. Also, search engines give images a weight which you would better use for your good. Therefore, always try to find a descriptive image of what you are writing about.
There are many websites where you can find royalty free images like: ▶ Unsplash ▶ Pixabay ▶ Pexels ▶ FreeImages
Also, if you can’t find the right image on these websites or you want to create a custom diagram, you can also use some websites like Canva and Draw.
Another trick, if you are going to use a page break, don’t use the built-in 3 dots page break. Instead, use an image like the one I am using in this article. This way, you can set the Alt text to something useful related to your article sections.

Content Itself
It depends on your Niche and Topic but there are some common best practices you might need to follow.
Therefore, you need to do the following: ▶ Focus on your topic and try to avoid distractions. ▶ Make sure you do your research first before jumping to writing. ▶ Make sure your article doesn’t have grammar mistakes. For this you can use Hemingway and Grammarly. ▶ Try to organize your article into properly sized sections and paragraphs. ▶ Make good use of Headers and Sub-headers. ▶ Try to put yourself into the reader’s shoes to be able to expect what he/she would have in mind while reading through your article. ▶ Try to get some feedback from your close friends. ▶ If you are publishing through a publication, which I recommend, check and apply the publication rules. ▶ Learn from the comments. ▶ You can always revisit your published article and apply some modifications if you think they are required.

Introducing Yourself
One of the good ways to promote yourself and get connected with more audience is to write an article as an introduction about yourself.
On this article you can share some personal information about different stages of your life. This will create a bond between you and your audience.
As an example, you can talk about your childhood, education, professional life,…
You can also talk about your experience as a writer and this would be a good opportunity to share some of your top articles.
Also, you can share your Social Media accounts so that your audience can connect with you.
If you like, you can check my introduction article, it could help you get more ideas of what to share 🙂
I would also advise you to pin this article at the top of your Medium page.

How to Generate Ideas?
One of the biggest challenges you come across as a writer is generating new ideas of topics to write about.
At some point, you might find yourself in that state where your mind is totally blocked or swamped with incomplete shreds of ideas. This is normal so don’t be hard on yourself.
Therefore, there are some techniques which could help you always have your backup of ideas which you can rely on in such cases.

Keep a Note
Create a note on your cell phone, and it is important to keep it on your cell phone. Anytime an idea pops up in your mind, you add it to this note with some details that would help you remember.
After a while, you would find that you have a proper number of ideas on this note which you can choose from.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
Even when you have a note of your ideas, try to always find new ideas especially the ones that you didn’t think of before. Let me elaborate more.
Everyone of us has some kind of sub-topics that he likes and feels comfortable writing about. What you need to do is to fight the urge to always choose these sub-topics and start looking into new ones.
Why am I saying this? simply because this is what will help you grow. It is like a muscle which needs to get challenged with higher weights to finally grow.
Therefore, always try to come out of your comfort zone and find new ideas, challenging ideas.

Read Articles and Watch Videos
When you read an article, or watch a video, or get exposed to any content, this might help you come up with new ideas. May be you can write about the same topic but from another perspective. Or may be you can explain it in a different way.
Therefore, it is not bad to gain new ideas from other content, but you need to make sure you are not just copying the content, you need to add some value.
Worth to mention here, if you are going to use someone’s content, you need to clearly and properly refer to him, otherwise, you would be ripping him.

Promoting Membership and Subscription Links
It is so important to promote to yourself using your Membership and Subscription links.
Therefore, it would be wise to add one or more sections to your article where you share these links. However, you need to avoid doing it more than enough.
What I personally do is embedding the Subscription link after the first section as in the image below.

Then adding a paragraph after the last section as in the image below.

To get these links, you first need to head to your settings page as in the image below.

This would take you to your Settings page where you need to navigate to the Audience development section as in the image below.

Membership Link
If you don’t already know, if you persuade someone to be a Medium paid member and he/she uses your referral link to subscribe, you would get a small part of his monthly fee, every time he pays his monthly fee.
For that, Medium already provides you with a referral link which you can find if you click on the Promote memberships button.

This would take you to the Promote Medium memberships page.

On this page you can set some settings, find some useful tips on how to share and use your referral link, and you can find your referral link.
If you want to know more about promoting Medium memberships, you can check this article.

Subscription Link
This is the way for readers to subscribe to your stories feed via email so that they get an email whenever you publish a new story.
For that, Medium already provides you with a subscription link which you can find if you click on the Promote subscriptions button.

This would take you to the Promote email subscriptions page.

On this page you can set some settings and you can find your subscription link.

Adjusting Article Settings
Every article you write has its own settings page where you can set some important settings in addition to fields related to your article Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
To reach this page, you browse to your article settings as in the image below.

This would take you to another page where you can find all your article-specific settings.

Article Tags
On the article-specific settings page, go to the Reader Interests section as in the image below.

On this section you can set up to 5 tags. These tags should describe what your article is generally about.
My advice to you is to be wise about choosing these tags. What you can do is to try to find the tags related to your topic, even if more than 5 and then filter them by checking the amount of content on these tags.
To do so, you can try browsing to https://medium.com/tag/{tag name} where you would find information about the number of stories and writers. Keep in mind that if the tag name consists of more than one word (like: Software Architecture), you would need to replace the spaces with hyphens “-”.
If you want to understand more, you can check https://medium.com/tag/coding and https://medium.com/tag/software-architecture for examples.
Also, keep in mind that you can change these tags in the future. This could help revive your old articles by making them show up in new categories.

SEO Title
The SEO Title is the title that would be used by search engines. Whenever your article is indexed by search engines like Google, you would find that your article is mainly identified by the text you set into the SEO Title.
That’s why it is also important to wisely choose what you would set there as this would directly impact your article ranking and visibility on search engines. Therefore, try to focus on your main keywords.
On the article-specific settings page, go to the SEO Title section as in the image below.

Note that the length of the value you set is so important as it could get truncated by search engines if it is too long. That’s why you need to read all hints and tips provided by Medium.

SEO Description
The same concept goes here, the SEO Description is the description/brief recognized by search engines.
That’s why it is also important to wisely choose what you would set there as this would directly impact your article ranking and visibility on search engines. Therefore, try to focus on your main keywords.
On the article-specific settings page, go to the SEO Description section as in the image below.

Publishing Through Publications
On Medium, you have more than one way to publish your article:
- Through your profile.
- Through your own publication.
- Through other publications.
My favorite option is publishing through other publications and this is for some reasons like:
- Famous publications have big number of followers.
- They do their own SEO optimizations.
- They know which articles Medium likes.
- They help you modify your article to get attract readers and followers.
- They help you get your articles curated by Medium.
- They have their own heavy social media accounts.
Some people might argue that also publishing through publications has its own disadvantages. I am not fully sure about this but what I know is that if you are a beginner writer, publishing through famous publications would help you a lot.

How To Find Famous Publications?
What I did when I was first starting writing is that I simply searched Google for “famous medium publications”. Starting from there I found many famous publications.
What you need to keep in mind is that not all publications accept all kinds of content. Therefore, you need to browse to each publication and read about it and see samples of the articles published there.
Also, a good trick is to add “/latest” at the end of the publication URL. This would take you to the same publication page but with more details about the number of followers. This should help you prioritize your publication choices.

How To Submit My Article To a Publication?
To be able to do so you first need to be added by the publication owners as a writer.
Every publication has its own way of doing this. Some publications ask you to send an email with a link to any of your articles. Other publications ask you to fill in a form,…
Therefore, you need to do your own research by checking the publication page or asking Google about it.
Once you are granted and added as a writer on a publication, you can follow the steps as in the image below.

This would take you to a list of all the publications which added you as a writer where you can choose one and only one publication to publish your article to.
After doing this, you would still need to finally click on the publish button to approve submitting your article to the publication you chose.
Worth to mention here is that you are allowed to publish your article to one publication only. If you want to publish your article to another publication, you will need to remove it from the old publication and add it to the new one.
I can hear someone saying:
I can create a new article and copy and paste the same content there. Then I can publish it to another publication. Smart, right?
No, don’t do this as this is not tolerated by Medium. Plagiarism or content duplication is illegal on Medium and if they pin it on you, you would not like their reaction. Your account might get suspended for life.

How To Contact Publication Editors?
To contact a publication editor, you first need to add your article to a publication. If you don’t know how to do this, check the How To Submit My Article To a Publication? section above.
Once your article is added to a publication, you can leave a private note to the publication editors by following the steps in the images below.
Select any word and click on this icon.

Write a note and click Send.

Organizing Resources
Ok, this is something I learnt years ago when I was blogging on my old blog.
Every time you publish an article you would have some details you would need to deal with many times. Therefore, it would be wise to keep these details organized in some place you can easily access even on your mobile phone.
These details are:
- Article Title.
- Article Subtitle.
- Article short description.
- Article long description.
- Article link.
- Article Friend link.
- Article short link (generate it using URL shortners like Bitly).
- Article Friend short link.
- Tags/Keywords.
You can keep these details per article in a text (.txt) file, word file, or any other format. The most important thing is you make sure this format can be easily used to access these details anytime you need and on your mobile phone as well.
What I personally do, I keep all these details in a big text (.txt) file which I can easily send to my mobile phone and open it using the built in text editor.
This helps me open the file, get all the details of a certain article, share it on social media while I am outside sitting with my friends. It take a few seconds to get the job done.
Also, I always bookmark my articles on my web browser and organize it in folders. However, what I recommend here is to bookmark your articles’ Friend Links.
If you don’t already know what a Friend Link is, if you are enrolled into Medium Partnership Program, and you set your article to be behind the Paywall, your article would be available to all paid Medium members. However, it would not be available for free members. That’s why Medium provides you with a special link which you can share with your friends and on social media so that they can read your article. This special link is the Friend Link.
Having that clear, there is an important trick you need to keep in mind here. First, you get your article Friend Link by following the steps in the image below.

Then you browse to this link in your web browser. What automatically happens next is that your browser gets redirected to the original article link (the link behind the paywall). This means if you try to bookmark the page, you would actually bookmark the original link, not the Friend Link.
What I personally do is; I first bookmark the original link and then modify the link by replacing it with the Friend Link I got.

Bonus: Extend Links List Using Notepad++
If you already have a list of your Friend Links and you want to extend this list with Non-Friend Links, you can use Notepad++ for this job.
Let’s say you have this list of your Friends Links:

Then, hit (Ctrl + H) on Windows. If you are using another operating system, you can search on how to reach the Replace menu. Then, adjust the settings as in the image below:

Find what: (.*)(\?sk=.*)
Replace with: \1\2\n\1
Finally, click on the Replace All button. Then you would end up with this:

This trick would be so useful if you already have a long list of Friends Links.
Note: If you want to replace the whole list with the Non-Friend Links, you would follow the same steps but the Replace with part would be modified to be \1
.

Promoting Articles on Social Media
It is obvious once you have your article published, you need to spread the word to get more views and reads.
My first and main advice is, always use your article’s Friend Link. If you don’t know what a Friend Link is, please check the previous section called Organizing Resources.
Now, having that said, let’s pinpoint that there are many different social media networks. Therefore, what I am going to mention on the next lines is my own preference but for sure you can extend and modify the list with yours.
What I personally do, once I have a new published article:
- Add the new article details to my resources list (Check the Organizing Resources section above)
- Add a post on my Facebook groups where my article is a good fit (Title, Short Description, Friend Link, Tags).
- Add a tweet on my Twitter profile (Title, Subtitle, Friend Link, Tags).
- Add a post on my LinkedIn profile (Title, Short Description, Friend Link, Tags).
- Add a post on my LinkedIn groups where my article is a good fit (Title, Short Description, Friend Link, Tags).
- Publish a new LinkedIn article with a short introduction about the topic and then add my article’s Friend Link for further read.
- Submit an entry on Hacker News (HN) of my Medium article’s Friend Link.
- Submit another entry on HN of my LinkedIn article link.
- Add a Flip on my Flipboard magazine of my Medium article’s Friend Link.
- Add another Flip on my Flipboard magazine of my LinkedIn article link.
- Add a Pin on my Pinterest profile of my Medium article’s Friend Link.
- Add another Pin on my Pinterest profile of my LinkedIn article link.
- Use URL Ping Services (Check the Using Links Ping Services section below).
- Use Links Indexers (Check the Using Links Indexers section below) on my Medium article’s Friend Link, my Medium article’s original link, and my LinkedIn article link.
Also I recommend you create one post on Facebook and LinkedIn where you always add a new comment with your new article’s Friend Link. This way your network on Facebook and LinkedIn would always have access to all your articles’ Friend Links.
Another thing, you can create a weekly or biweekly newsletter on LinkedIn or another network where you publish your Friend Links (with description and brief introduction) of your recently published articles.
Finally, you can always conduct your own research on which social media networks to use for promoting your articles but make sure you don’t abuse or break any rules as every network has its own rules and policies.
These are some of the famous social networks and link curators: ▶ Facebook ▶ LinkedIn ▶ Twitter ▶ Reddit ▶ Quora ▶ Flipboard ▶ Pinterest ▶ Hacker News

Bonus: Quora Spaces
Quora has introduced what is called Quora Spaces. It is like your own page where you can write posts, questions, and answers.

The great thing about Quora Spaces is that when you own a Quora Space, you are the administrator of that Space and you can set your own rules. Therefore, you are free to promote your content as you wish.
Another great thing is that Quora Spaces are also monetized, so you can make some extra money beside getting traffic to your Medium articles.

For every piece of content on your Quora Space, you can choose from 3 monetization modes:
- Free: This means that no monetization would be applied at all.
- Monetized with Adaptive Paywalling: This would allow access to some non-subscribers to help grow your audience.
- Monetized without Adaptive Paywalling: This would allow access to paying audience only.
Additionally, you can set a monthly or yearly subscription plan to your Quora Space so that your followers can choose a subscription plan and subscribe to it.
If you are a Software Engineer, you can check my Quora Space and I am sure you would like the content I am regularly publishing there 🙂

Using Links Indexers
Links Indexers submit your URLs to various statistics sites, open directories,… These sites give a value of your URLs and also provide a free link back to your site. This helps your URLs to rapidly get indexed by search engines.
You can find tons of websites on the internet providing the same service.
However, these are the ones I am using:
What you need to keep in mind is that it takes time for your URLs to get indexed by search engines. It might take starting from 10 days up to months. Therefore, using Links Indexers is good but don’t expect to see an instant change happening.
Also, don’t abuse using these services. Use them wisely.
Note: I had my own doubts before if using these tools would break any Medium policies and regulations. So, I contacted Medium Support and asked them about it.

Using Links Ping Services
Links Ping Services promote your blog or website by pinging a variety of services to notify the world your blog, website, RSS feed, or podcast has recently been updated or created.
You can find tons of websites on the internet providing the same service.
However, these are the ones I know about:
Also, don’t abuse using these services. Use them wisely.
Note: I had my own doubts before if using these tools would break any Medium policies and regulations. So, I contacted Medium Support and asked them about it.

Using Paid Services
You can also use some paid services if you like to give a boost to your blog or articles.
Some people recommend using advertising campaigns on social media like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Reddit,… So, I think by now you already know about these.
However, what I am going now to tell you about is different. It is about some paid services which take care of doing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for your blog and articles.
Some of them could also help you drive traffic to you articles directly but for these ones you need to be cautious as some of these service providers would just drive random traffic not a targeted one. This is bad as you might get too many views but no reads. Therefore, I actually don’t recommend using these services.
To get access to these services, you can use platforms like Fiverr [Referral Link], SeoClerks [Referral Link], and MonsterBacklinks [Referral Link].

Republishing To Other Platforms
Republishing your Medium stories to other platforms is not prohibited by Medium. What Medium team doesn’t like is duplicating your content on Medium itself.
However, what you need to keep in mind is that Search Engines don’t like to see your content duplicated on different domains and URLs. They take it as an indicator that there is something fishy happening and at the end they might decide to penalize one of the URLs or even all of them.
However, there is a way to tell Search Engines that this is a duplicate content and the original content is published on that URL. In this case, Search Engines accept it and even more you gain some backlinks to your original content.
The way I am telling you about is called Canonical Links. This is some meta tag added to the article page HTML and in this tag the URL of the original content is set.
There are many platforms that allow you to republish your own content. If you want to check some of these platforms, you can always search Google but keep in mind that not all available platforms would provide you with a way to set a Canonical Link to your original content. In this case, I don’t recommend using these platforms for republishing your content.
Also, some of these platforms have their own monetization strategy. Therefore, don’t forget to check.

Finding Subscribers on Social Media
The email subscribers you have on Medium are people who like to read your content. They want to get notified when you have new articles published. This is good.
However, these people might read your articles but they might not be encouraged to share them within their social networks and that’s because both worlds are separate from each other.
What would be nice is to fix this by connecting the Medium world with the Social Network world. How to do this?
First, head to your settings page as in the image below.

This would take you to your Settings page where you need to navigate to the Audience development section as in the image below.

Then, you can find the Export email subscribers section as in the image below.

Then, you would need to click on the Export list button.
After a while, you would get an email with a download link which you can use to download all the emails of your subscribers in a text file.
Starting from this point, you have many things to do.
You can import these emails into your email providers like Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo,…
You can import these emails into Social Media accounts like Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter,…
Then, it would be easy for you to get in contact with your new followers and most probably when they see one of your posts they would interact with it.

For Software Engineers
This section is specifically for Software Engineers.
As I mentioned in the Republishing To Other Platforms section above, you can republish your content to other platforms that provide you with a way to set a Canonical Link to the original content.
Some of these platforms for Software Engineers are:

Dev.to
Dev.to is one of the famous platforms for Software Engineering bloggers. What I also like on this platform is that you can easily import your Medium articles using this Google Chrome Extension.
You would still need to apply some tweaks, but it is better than other platforms where you need to re-write the whole article from scratch.
If you like, you can check my Dev.to blog and for sure your feedback would be so welcomed 🙂

Hashnode
Hashnode is also one of the famous platforms for Software Engineering bloggers. This time, Hashnode itself is providing you with an internal tool to import all your Medium articles and you have control over to import them as drafts or published versions.
Also, what makes Hashnode so powerful is that it provides you with the ability to customize your pages and blog as you wish.
If you want to subscribe to Hashnode, I would appreciate if you can use my referral link.
Also, you can check my page and my blog and let me know what you think.

TealFeed
I have just started using TealFeed lately and I am still exploring its features. If you like, you can check my blog and see if you like the platform.

Also, one of the greatest link curators is LibHunt. There you have more than one category (DotNet, JavaScript, Nodejs,…) to submit your links to. I am using it and I actually see some visits coming from their side.

Famous Medium Writers and Influencers
It is important that you learn from great writers on Medium. This would enlighten you and help you know more about the process of being a great writer.
I thought of compiling a list of the top writers on Medium but I found that J.J. Pryor has already did it before on his great article 50 Humongous Medium Writers With Over 10,000 Followers. Thanks J.J. Pryor for that great article 🙂
Adding to the list, Zulie Rane. She is a successful freelance writer and she has her YouTube channel where you can learn a lot about being a successful writer. Thanks Zulie Rane 🙂

Final Thoughts
What I am sharing with you on this a article is the abstract of my humble experience with blogging in general and Medium in specific. I am sure later I might find different ways of doing things and in this case I would for sure update you.
Now, if you found this content useful and want to support me, if you are not a Medium member yet, you can use my referral link so I can get a small part of your fees from Medium, you don’t pay any extra.
Finally, hope you enjoyed reading this article as I enjoyed writing it.
