Most of us have felt bloated at some point in our lives. There have been times when you couldn’t fasten your pant or skirt due to being bloated. Also, after eating fiber if the body doesn’t digest efficiently, can cause bloating to occur. Usually, the body does digest fiber especially when fiber becomes a staple of your diet. Like anything else, the body has to adjust especially to a lot of fiber intake which is different from the norm.

Usually bloatedness decreases over a period of time. That period of time varies from body to body or person to person. This usually happen to women over 40 and whose bloatedness may be contributed to a slow digestive system.

There are some foods that may be able to practically eliminate your bloatedness practically overnight. These foods can loosen those tight clothes around your waistline after you incorporate them into your daily diet.

No need for a tummy tuck when you can beat bloating and achieve the flat belly you once had with a few foods being added to your diet and a few lifestyle tweaks. No need for laxative, just eat the following foods and watch the bloatedness disappear before your eyes in a short period of time.

To much fiber can cause bloatedness especially if foreign to the body. There are two types of fiber, insoluble fiber and gel-like soluble fiber. One should begin each day with a daily dose of fiber and it will assist in elimination. With daily elimination or regular elimination the body will look and feel lighter. There is one food that is comprised of both types of fiber, oatmeal.

When eating too much of refine carbs, i.e. bread, pasta, sugary baked goods speeds up your path to bloastville because the body breaks these refined carbs down into glucose or sugar, quickly. Some glucose gets used up for energy and the unused glucose or sugar gets stored in the muscles and liver. When the body stores glucose, it stores each molecule along with two molecules of water. This water retention can leave you feeling puffy.

Solution or Alternative: Replace refine carbs with complex carbs, i.e. whole grains or sweet potatoes that are high in fiber and don’t cause the body to store much water, and the body is less likely to become bloated. For example replace white rice or pasta with quinoa.

Foods that are rich in potassium helps the body eliminate excess water weight and minimize bloatedness. Also, be aware of your sodium intake because it makes the body hold on to more fluid. It is highly recommended that potassium be gotten from foods and not supplements. Adding to your diet potassium rich fruits and vegetables along with lentils, milk and orange juice will re-balance your body by flushing out extra sodium that can cause water retention thereby causing bloatedness. Also, peppermint tea speeds up your digestion and it eases indigestion and gas.

Alcohol like sodium can may make you feel bloated. Eliminate the alcohol and reduce being bloated. If you must drink alcohol, then consume a glass of water before and after your drink to remain hydrated. This process allows the body to pull liquid into your lower intestine and ease constipation. Alcohol has a dehydrating effect. Hydration with water is ideal but milk, juice, coffee and tee may suffice. Avoid bubbly drinks because they force air into your digestive system causing gas and a distended belly. The bubbles in carbonated drinks can bloat you up.

Another food that beats bloating is Greek yogurt! Yogurt contains belly friendly bacteria like probiotics that help tame stomach bloating by aiding an improvement in intestinal mobility, thereby eliminating constipation.

Raw produce, fresh fruits and vegetables are without a doubt healthy yet high volume of these foods will take up room in your gut causing your stomach to extend, so watch your intake to avoid making the stomach extend unnaturally.

Protein makes you feel fuller and keeps you from snacking. Adding fiber rich foods with your protein will keep you full longer. Also, watch your intake of large amounts of fructose because the body can’t readily digest it and this may result in gas and bloating.

There are some spices that can assist in digestion and eliminate stomach bloatedness, ginger and fennel seed which contain compounds that stimulate digestion and relive gas to help the stomach to flatten out.

Eating fatty fish such as salmon, tuna, mackerel, or herring will help you shed more fat including belly fat due to omega-3s which appears to boost calorie burning and promote the formation of metabolism-revving brown fat.

In conclusion, this is the most organic way of reducing bloating as you eat a healthier diet. Knowing what causes the body to be bloated is just as important as taking the step to eliminate bloatedness.
