recall something someone told me that now makes a lot of sense to me. There are profound things that you learn in life that you often reflect upon much later. I had the honor of going to Japan for a whole month in the year 2000, with a Rotary Group Study Exchange group. How to Care For Your Beautiful Soul

Day 11: Understanding that you are right where you need to be today

Photo by Carli Jeen on Unsplash

Walking with joy this morning I was reminded of the glorious world that we live in. One of abundance in nature, one of beauty and kindness. On this spiritual path of learning and sharing through 100 days of exploring the book The Infinite Self by Stuart Wilde, today I was reminded of the importance of nurturing yourself. Truly accepting yourself for who you are and who you are becoming each day is a journey in itself.

The whole point of the journey from ego to spirit is one of acceptance. If you aren’t very confident or have a poor self-image, the first thing you need to do is accept that. The second thing is to gradually go past your shame, past your guilt, and work your way to where you can look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Hey, this person is okay. We’re moving up.” The weakness of self-image is part of your experience and programming. You are here to transcend it. It forms a pivotal part of your sacred quest. -Stuart Wilde

Accept where you are, and also know in your heart that every single day you are moving forward. At every moment you are expanding. It every instant you are growing. There’s not a second that goes by that your inner being isn’t evolving. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be. As you begin to accept yourself and grow and learn to nurture yourself, you will see the enormous light inside you.

When you truly look at where you have been and where you are going in life, you will see the enormous strides that you have taken to get to where you are today. Acknowledge the progress that you have made in life so far. See each experience you have had in life as a stepping stone to today’s present moment. Invite in new experiences that are about to happen to take you further down the road to discovery about yourself and about this life.

As I look back on all of the things that I have done in my life, I used to think that I should have chosen a different path. If only I had chosen to study something different, or listened closer to my heart earlier. We can always wonder “if only…” However, if we truly look at each experience, we can see that they were leading us to who we are today and who we are about to become. It is like we are an ever evolving being, ready and waiting to go on to the next step.

I often recall something someone told me that now makes a lot of sense to me. There are profound things that you learn in life that you often reflect upon much later. In this instance it is something someone told me that has a brand new meaning to me today. It can help to nurture my soul and my inner being. I had the honor of going to Japan for a whole month in the year 2000, with a Rotary Group Study Exchange group. At the time, I was an English as a Second Language instructor at the local community college in Clackamas, Oregon. I remained at that job for a little over ten years.

We each stayed with lovely host families in several cities. I stayed with one host family near the Sea of Japan for two days. My host brother told me something very interesting. He told me that you will always be a part of a legacy of what your family line has done. At the time I did not truly understand that. I thought that it meant that if your parents did one career it meant that you had to do that career.

However, now I know that it means that you will always carry with you a spark of a talent passed down from generation to generation. That spark is yours to create with, yours to dream about, yours to ignite into a passion and purpose!

What I now realize is that teaching is in my family line, but it doesn’t mean I have to be a traditional teacher in a school to teach and to help people. I am learning that I can teach through my writing and I can teach through my organizing courses. I can teach from the heart and soul through what I can create every single day. That is freeing. That is liberating. It comes from a space of honor and love for myself and for others. I am loving becoming the teacher I am meant to be.

There’s an enormous power inside you. It is an infinite power that flows from your connection to the God Force. You have the power if you will accept an infinite perception and if you start to see yourself in that way. -Stuart Wilde

Now, day by day, moment by moment I am beginning to accept myself as a teacher and a writer who can share her love of life, her love of learning, her love of growing with others. I can share what I know, and I can be humble when I don’t know. I can walk the path each day, with new enthusiasm for this lovely life, nurturing my soul as I amble along.

How are you caring for your beautiful soul today?

How can you see that you are right where you need to be?

My prayer and intention for you today is to know that you have come a long way on the path. Remember that you are right where you need to be. You are a beautiful, caring, loving soul. Remember all that you have learned and all that you have grown. You are continually evolving, you are infinite!
