How to Be Nicer to Yourself
Physically, nutritionally and etc.

How can you be kinder to yourself?
Hey, I can hear you silently judging yourself, your writing, your appearance, your questionable taste in Netflix content. How can you be a little nicer to yourself? — by Jolie A. Doggett
This is what I am trying and doing.
Set nearby time — so I don’t get stressed.
Reading & Writing
About 1 hour to 2.5 hours to read.
If some writing ideas come to me, and if I feel it is better to just start writing down some points/outlines, I do it right away.
Otherwise, I wait until I feel it is finally done. Then I start writing.
Creating Challenging Activities
I have been using images that were created by myself using such as Excalidraw and Blender. There are many free sources you can find online, but I enjoy Blender a lot even though it requires me to think and sometimes search for the way to best create the images in my mind. I guess I feel great when they turn out beautifully.
Similarly, I’m doing online learning, and I get lost in time sometimes and I just keep tackling the problems. Using a timer to remind me always works a little better than nothing.

Getting Physical Exercise Done and Nutritious Foods
I do walking exercises (about 20 to 60 minutes at least 4 times per week) → in my articles (How, and Why).
As I try to be physically fit and have my clear thoughts (really, sometimes it’s like an aha! thought), I try to eat well on my own terms.
What I try to remind myself is to eat a sufficient amount of colorful foods. It is not like rainbow-colored potatoes or anything, but incorporating several ingredients with different colors in one or two dishes. This way, I can eat a variety of foods with all sorts of nutrients. Since I don’t eat everything, I try to change foods to just a little store in the pantry and fridge within the range of foods I like.
If you are picky with your foods or cannot eat everything, try to remind yourself to eat Rainbow Color. This may just give you a pinch of hint to eat well.

Another thing I am trying this day is waiting for about one hour after waking up to have my coffee. Why? Because I have been reading articles ( → here is one of them) about this to avoid a sudden rise of cortisol, so I wait while having my breakfast. And I can’t wait for four hours to have my first cup of coffee of the day :)
I have always been a coffee lover. I used to make my coffee and drink it right away in the morning. When I got my favorite coffee beans, I was always excited. Saying “Coffee, Coffee!” in my mind even before arriving in front of my coffee mug and coffee dripper.
I guess, I probably can say, my cortisol level in the morning now is more laid back. And, when my body needs coffee, within the time window of one to four hours after waking up, I can fully enjoy more of my coffee!
Rest in the Evening
Although I tend to read, write/type, and create after midnight, I try to enjoy more wind-down time here and there.
Watching TV shows, movies, and so on.

Thanks for reading!
And thanks to Creators Hub, Jolie A. Doggett for this writing prompt!
