3 Mindsets to Complete Your Morning Exercise
To feel ridiculously good about yourself

Wait, what should I do first? It’s cold this morning.
I used to have many lazy weekend mornings when things were different. Like many other people would do, starting the weekend morning lazy. Playing on their phone in the bed. Watching TV on the sofa. And all sorts of other things to avoid what you’ve once determined to do.
I did take a day off, yesterday. So today, I should do something I’ve decided to do. My every other day workout! It’s a bit windy outside, feeling cold inside. But I got a small workout menu to follow now. This menu has been great. I’ve been feeling small changes in my body, so I should trust this menu and continue.
There are few things I have decided to do every other day unless I’m physically exhausted.
A few things include a resistance band stretching twice a day.
I woke up late so I knew that I would have a branch. But I also knew if I ate my branch first, I would have to wait for a while to do the rubber band stretching. What should I do first? Stretching first or a branch first? A little debating in my head.
Here are the 3 logical steps that happened in my mind to complete the workout.
Step 1: Think about Your Physical Condition First
Because it was cold in the morning, I had to do something for my body. I put an extra layer on and went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth.
Then, I had to warm up my body. A hot drink.
If I had a hot drink, I can move, do the stretching because I was at the point of starving.
I still could prepare my branch while sipping the hot drink. This meal preparation or a little house chore can warm up my body also.
But not eating.
Step 2: Go for the Thing You’ve Determined to Do
After I feel my body is warm and happy with the nice warm drink I just had, I determined to take out the rubber band.
Sticking one end on the door, I started doing my easy exercise! But it needs concentration.
Slow breathing in and out. Pulling it toward me and releasing it. And repeat. Just five times.
Rest a little and do another set.
Step 3: Let Other Things Wait
Once I moved toward grabbing the resistance band, and while resting between one set and another set, anything had to wait until it’s done. I needed to focus on my breathing, the muscle, and my posture.
Not even another sip of my drink. It had to wait because it wouldn’t take long and because I wasn’t dehydrated. I just needed to focus on my body.
After two sets of stretching exercises, I felt good about myself.
That’s how I completed a small part of my workout menu this morning. Once I determined to do things this way, I could feel I could also do other parts of my workout menu today.
Takeaways
The recap of my mindsets to complete my morning exercise:
1) Think about a physical condition first
2) Determination
3) Other things can wait
