How To Back-Up Your Articles
Medium does this for you
I often write about questions that new members ask me after they join the Medium platform. Today I am writing about someone who answered a question that I had asked.
I will apologise in advance, I cannot remember who told me this information, I have searched, and I cannot find you.
I hope you read this article and come forward so I can tag you and give you the credit you deserve, so please make yourself known. I think I remember, but I don’t want to credit the wrong person.
I think her name begins with a “K”.
My question was related to me losing articles on Medium. She responded to the story below. Click if you would like to read it.
She told me that Medium backs up your work, and you can download it anytime, so I will show you how to do this, and many of us will find this helpful in the future.
First, click on your profile icon in the top right-hand corner of your screen; following that, click account, then “download zip.”

You will then be sent an email by Medium.

Click “download my archive.”

Extract the file they send you and open the folder.

It will present you with a folder, and if you click on “posts”, it will give you every article you have written.

If you click on any of these files, it will correlate to your article in full.
So, there you have it, your work has been back up in; once again, I want to say that I was given this information by a Medium member whose name escapes me, so I do not want the credit for this one.
Thank you to that person, and I hope they come forward so I can credit them correctly; for those who responded to my original post, I will tag you below to see the solution to my original issue.
Justiss Goode, also just informed me of this too, so a big shoutout to her, thank you 😃
