How the Advertisement World Plays With Human Psychology (Save Money And Energy)
Understand the dark game of marketing to avoid spending extra money.

Do you feel the need to slog more to earn? Is your shopping list increasing every few months? Are you unsatisfied with your savings as your expenses move up?
Money flows like water in today’s online world. With one click, you can bet on the fanciest things. From pencil to the luxurious penthouse, shop anything any time.
Surely you can earn through the same online world. But it comes in trickles and gushes out like a punctured femoral artery.
Marketing gimmicks make you purchase more than you ever need by instilling fear. This money drain makes you stay in the vicious rat race.
Businesses Will Crash Without Creating Fear Within You
Market and advertisements are a psychological game. Each landing page is crafted to make you feel scared.
Fear sells!
It is the dark truth of advertising and the market. It feeds on fear.
Fear of missing out on deadlines. Fear of leaving out on offers. Fear of not having enough. Fear of missing out on being wealthy, beautiful, influential, and whatnot.
To spend more, you need to earn more.
The endless cycle makes you toil hard.
Keeping up with hustles and full-time work drains your precious time and energy.
Instead of enjoying what you have, you run after the things that you think you should have. Mental and physical health deteriorates. Relations suffer.
The Market Makes You a Servant of Unnecessary Things
We live in an era where the Instagram post is more crucial than relaxing in serene places. Loans for luxurious cars are more vital than traveling in a budget car.
My friend’s parents are always financially burdened. They took everything on loan. The monthly deductions are too much for them to pay. Still, they buy every new thing on loan.
If you can’t control your finances, it will always control you.
Last week while talking to my friend, she expressed how her cousin spends endlessly. Before going on vacation, he bought everything from branded boots to expensive hats. He preferred extravagant villas over simple homestays.
The cost of the trip escalated multi-folded.
She vowed not to take a trip with him again. The fun fact was his monthly income was far less than the money he spent on a 2-week vacation.
She confided she’d have enjoyed it much if they were together, instead of running for shopping each time.
Indeed it is a personal preference. But relying on things to make one fulfilled and memorable is a stupid idea.
Crafted advertising vacation exploits the mind—the YouTube videos of hip-hop vacations. The villas advertise their comfortable stays. The must-have list of items. A 4X4 rented vehicle.
You need to decide what is crucial for you. Don’t let anybody tell you what you need or not. Be your boss.
Never Try to Compensate Self-Worth With Things and Possession
Instead of money serving its purpose of making us happy. We unconsciously run after it, thinking it will someday make us happy.
Brands and advertisements manipulate your mind. They create an artificial need for unnecessary items. It makes you feel underachiever.
Do limited editions of watches over-expensive purses define your worth?
Possessions of things can never define you. So do the lack of some things.
Whether you want to be a market servant or make your definition of a worthy life depends on you.
Stop being a puppet of the market. Explore your invaluable worthiness that resides in self-love and compassion.
Differentiate Between Your Needs And Desires
Commerce dominates today’s world. Money gives you the freedom to buy comfort and, strangely, respect as well.
It blurs the line between needs and desires.
Needs can be met. But desires lead you to an endless pit of misery. You can never fill it.
Look around yourself and the people that surround you. Most of the time, our need to buy certain things stems from other people’s approval.
Be aware of the hidden truths behind your desires.
Clearly outlining your needs, cut short your expenses. It breaks the cycle of compulsive working to earn more when you can live satisfyingly with less.
Quality life does not depend on the things you possess. But satisfaction and joy.
You Can Never Be in Charge of How the Market Functions, but You Can Always Be Mindful of Your Expenses
Low expenses mean lower effort to earn it. It does not mean you are a miser. It means you are intelligent to know where your actual need resides.
Security lies inside you. Nobody can manipulate it when you are fully secured from within.
Fear is the antagonist of security.
What will people say? How will you be looked upon? — Maintaining a brand and image is your lifetime bondage.
Surely how you look may still make or break a situation. But tying yourself with certain market gimmicks should be analyzed deeply.
Takeaways
An invisible, endless rat race happens when excess money flows out. External forces will always govern our life.
By becoming aware of the game of business models, you can save yourself from a stressful life.
Be aware of your habits of expenditure. It can make or break your peace in life. Don’t depend on things to create fake worthiness.
You are always worthy, irrespective of what people perceive. Be free from the politics of the market. Be secured from within. Then you fall out of the trap of fear the market or people weave around you.
