The Answer is In the Name!
How Poetry Helps Me Fight
5,000 poems are strong

5 thousand poems, 5 thousand swords, 5 thousand choices. Every word is a sword that becomes your own. Maybe your sword will one day break apart, But no matter what, keep writing swords. Every word is a sword that becomes your own. Words can kill you or make you stronger. Keep writing until you are stronger than words alone.

Latests poems by: Alexa Seibert, Ari Love, Oganga Mangiti, Alfred Israel Mead, Yao Liu, Karian Artsie, Jeroen Uwland, Wanjikū , Charlotte Kingsbury- Fink, Emilia, Michael Centrone, Dayna Lellis, Antonio Segovia, Jenna Lea, Jake Courtney, Julie S. Paschold, Nikolaos Skordilis
The power of poetry is not in the words and sentences but in you.
Your own thoughts, emotions, and feelings created swords. If you take a step and experience anything, it is a poem already. If you experience and enjoy anything with all your senses, it is poetry already. Only the poet is free from your guards.
Keep writing words. Keep writing poems. It is not easy. It is not easy to define poetry or to define words or to define life or to define anything, really. But while you’re doing this, while you’re defining poetry and words and living and breathing, as hard as it may seem, you are building a home of your own in a world that everyone else seems to have already made for themselves.
