How My Twittles Haven’t Improved
by Gustave Deresse
I’m avoiding responsibilities, instead to focus on a twittle. You say it’s the best of my abilities?? I will agree, just a little.
There is no rhythmic value, barely the hint of a song. Even this part does not rhyme, and the last line is getting to be too long!
I’m running out of time to improve, and I just finally had a fun idea, though it is really just for me. You see these line lengths?
Gah!
I would love to fix each of these, but I’ve procrastinated enough. Don’t throw me to the bees, I swear I’m not tough.
I’ll fly overseas — get real’ buff.
Two of me, for sure — part of another to fill the empty spaces…
What are you looking at?
I see you.
I bet you can write the better twittles. Let’s find out??
If this is a first impression, then I apologize. It isn’t inaccurate, but neither is it perfect, or true.
This is on me. The next time, my twittles will be masterful, masterful twittles.
Count on it.
