HOW CAN I EARN MONEY ON FIVERR
How My Fiverr Gig Went Viral
a simple guide for freelancers
Don’t simply sit and stare! There are no shortcuts for success!
There are many newbies out there who have just started out on their online journey. You are finding ways to make money online that require little to no skills.
When I was a newbie, the only option I had with zero skills was -
YouTube and KDP take some time to make your first income. YouTube has basic monetization criteria. It takes at least six months for your first income to arrive in your bank.
KDP takes a minimum of 90 days to deposit your first payment.
I was in search of a quick income during COVID, people were losing jobs, and I was pretty sure my call could come at any time.
The shortest way I could find was Fiverr and Freelancer. Of the two, Fiverr is the best marketplace for freelancing businesses.
So it’s been 4 years now since I have been on Fiverr. And with my few gigs going viral, I’ll share with you simple steps that will help you make your gig viral like mine too.
How To Make A Fiverr Gig Viral
1. Low-Competitive Gig
My first gig was a major hit because there were only 200 gigs in my niche. Currently (19th September), there are only 1500, and still my gig is shown on the first page of the Fiverr. The reason is pretty simple. I searched for a keyword that buyers were actively looking for, but with little to no competition. It’s not always easy to find, but once you get one, you’ll know how to find the other hidden gems. In my experience, you need only a few gigs to make a full-time income.
2. Get Good Reviews
I never knew that Fiverr prefers ratings and tips a lot. I thought having ratings would help my new customers make decisions quickly. So every time my work was marked as completed by the buyers, I would request that they rate me on Fiverr. Everyone rated me mostly 4–5. The more I got ratings on my gig, the more clicks I got on my gigs. Fiverr was promoting my gigs even more.
3. Marketing
Although most of my sales were organic, there were days when I would go without any work. No sales, fewer clicks. So I started marketing my gig on Twitter. I didn’t market all my gigs, just one gig that aligned with the Twitter audience. If you have a ghostwriting gig, Twitter is the best place to showcase your work. I get many clients from Twitter!
4. Level up the Fiverr game
As you progress through the Fiverr levels, the chances of getting noticed by the buyers also increase. When I submit quality projects on time, my buyers will give me good ratings on my gig. Because of this, my clicks and impressions also increase. This is often slow at first, so I would advise you to be patient and always submit work before the deadlines.
5. Have more than one gig
You can have seven gigs at the start. You won’t need all 7. Make three, but they should be the best ones and should always align with your interests. If possible, try to make gigs interrelated and unique. So if a buyer likes your one gig, they are likely to buy more from you. You will make more from returning customers only! Finding new clients every single time is not easy!
Conclusion
There are many factors that can help you make your Fiverr gig go viral. I have listed here only a few that I have experimented with on my Fiverr accounts. Many say that Fiverr is saturated. But not to forget that they still say that even for all the other marketplaces. So I have made up my mind not to back off from a marketplace simply because of it. New niches are invented every single day.
There are still many untapped niches on Fiverr with lower competition.
I hope this article will help you start your journey on Fiverr and reach your financial goals soon!
Happy Fiverr journey!
