How Many Followers Are Needed To Make $1,000 Per Month?

Read this if you are writing for money…

Can I make $1,000 or more per month writing full-time or part-time? This is one of the very first questions that strike the mind of a writer who joins the site and begins publishing a couple of stories. I have been writing for over four months. As far as I know, it is possible to make thousands of dollars if you have thousands of followers.

Writers who have less than 2000 followers manage to make $1 to $2 per day. This does not include the stories that may go viral and may get them hundreds of dollars overnight. This only includes the stories that are published daily and get a couple of reads. In my case, I have over 3,000 followers, and the previous month, I made up to $300. This makes me feel that the more followers you have, the higher are your chances of making enough money.

A Couple Of Questions To Ask Yourself

Photo by Daniel Mingook Kim on Unsplash

If you have recently joined the site and are focusing on writing, then you should ask the following questions to yourself.

  1. Am I trying to make a full-time living?
  2. Is writing a time-pass for me?
  3. Am I here to explore the new opportunities?

What I feel is that the writers who take the site seriously and publish something daily get more money than those who publish once or twice a month. If you are looking for a full-time living, then you must spare time to tell one or two stories to the target audience.

Don’t Forget The Big Publications

Which publication you go with depends on the type of your article. For example, if you want to write a great post on relationships and love, then ‘P.S. I Love You’ is the right option for you. Please choose the publication carefully and submit as many stories to them as possible.

Self-Publishing Is Also Good

I have self-published all of my stories as I didn’t want to waste time waiting for publications to respond to me. I think that it is also a good idea. This may not get you enough exposure in the beginning, but it will save your precious time and you will be able to keep the reader engaged.
