As A Writer, You Must Avoid These Common Pieces Of Advice (Because They Are Too Bad)

Read what I’d rather like to do…

Success, money, and fame are not someone’s property. Anybody can be successful and famous, and anyone can make hundreds to thousands of dollars on a monthly basis. There are a few universal truths that we all accept to live our lives. To writers, my request is that you should avoid these pieces of advice because they are worthless in today’s competitive world.

1. Treat Others In The Way You Want To Be Treated

It is one of the golden rules, but I don’t think it works nowadays. Writers and people belonging to other walks of life are encouraged to treat others well so that they can also be treated nicely.

What I Prefer?

I prefer treating people in the way they want to be treated. Maybe, the way you want to be treated is not something that will suit them. In such a situation, you should know what they actually expect and must provide them the needful. It will be complicated in the beginning, but you cannot ensure your survival if you don’t read the minds of your readers.

2. Be Kind

Kindness is needed in every single field. The world doesn’t have enough polite people. Most of them are running after materialistic things or money.

What I Prefer?

Instead of being kind, you should determine what counts for kindness in a specific situation. Not all people deserve your kindness and it is okay to be a little rude to them. This will at least ensure your peace of mind.

3. Listen To Make A Difference

It is said that listening can make all the difference, but I don’t believe this piece of advice. Listening is done where people are actually sharing good things, not where there is too much negativity.

What I Prefer?

I love watching the actions of people and don’t believe in listening to those whose actions do not look appropriate. Why do we listen to someone who is spreading hatred everywhere? I think the best idea is to avoid them or block their profile.

Do you still think these pieces of advice are worth remembering?
