How I Never Run Out Of Ideas For My Medium Stories?

Photo by Martin Wilner on Unsplash

I saw a lot of writers complaining about their lack of ideas. A lot of you will understand that:

You are sitting in front of a black Medium page and trying to imagine a new topic for your story.

Why?

Because at the beginning you should write a lot to get noticed. This is why this problem is accurate for beginners.

But even professional writers sometimes have this issue. Ideas aren’t coming to your mind…

I’m publishing every single day even if I’m swamped.

That’s Why I’m making 50–$70/day.

Here are some tips :

  • Write down your ideas :

Always write down your ideas when you have them. I’m writing them in the form of titles. Just the title — it takes 20–30 seconds.

If you have more time, you can add some key ideas.

You will understand how powerful this technique is.

Sometimes I think I don’t have anything to write about. Then I my notes and found tons of ideas I had already forgotten.

  • Have a backload of stories when you have no inspiration :

This is like having titles but full stories. We are all human and we have bad days/moments etc… So having no inspiration is okay.

If you want to continue publishing — write some stories for later.

I know a lot of us like to publish right away.

You still don’t believe me?

Check this out :

I have almost the same amount of drafts as published stories. And 1/3 of these drafts are completely written stories.

My success didn’t come from nowhere.

You see only half of my work.

The other half is hidden — but it’s here.

Thanks For Reading till the end.
