How I Make $5,000 Each Month Writing About High-Ticket Topics
This is how to write and maximize luxury blog posts

I make $5,000 per month writing about high-ticket topics.
I post most of these articles on a suite of self-hosted websites, each targeted toward a general niche.
In this article, I will explain how I earn $5,000 so that you can copy my strategies. It takes time, grit, and a flexible mindset, but it is a path that has worked wonders for me.
What Are High Ticket Topics?
High ticket topics are big dollar topics.
And for good reason — these topics are easily monetizable, feature high ticket affiliate links, and revolve around buyer intent keywords.
Easily Monetizable
When it comes to monetization, there are a lot of options out there.
But some topics are more easily monetized than others. Products, brands, services, subscriptions, and software are all examples of topics that can be easily monetized.
When it comes to products, for example, you can sell them directly to consumers or through affiliate marketing arrangements.
Brands can be monetized through advertising or sponsorship deals.
Services can be offered on a subscription basis or pay-per-use basis. And software can be sold as a one-time purchase or as a recurring subscription.
If you’re looking for ideas on how to monetize your website or blog, these are some of the most easily monetized topics out there.
High-Ticket Affiliate Links
As an affiliate marketer, it’s important to choose your affiliate products wisely in order to maximize your earnings.
When it comes to commission structures, high ticket affiliate links are some of the most lucrative options. With a high ticket affiliate link, you can earn a commission on expensive products with a one-time or recurring fee structure.
For example, let’s say you’re promoting a luxury watch that costs $1,000.
If you earn a 10% commission on each sale, that’s $100 per sale. And if you’re able to generate just one sale per day, that’s $3,000 per month. As you can see, high-ticket affiliate links can be extremely profitable.
Of course, it sometimes takes more effort to sell an expensive product than it does to sell a less expensive product.
But not always.
If you’re able to generate sales, the earnings potential is significant.
Buyer-Intent Keywords
Buyer-intent keywords are topics that people are already searching for and are willing to spend money on.
Buyer intent topics mean the person is ready to fork over cash.
Usually, to gain an advantage or solve a problem — or both. If you can tap into that market, you can stand to make a lot of money.
My Complete Strategy for Making $5,000 With High-Ticket Topics
Making money writing about high-ticket topics is all about attracting organic traffic to your posts and monetizing that traffic with display ads and affiliate links.
Here’s my complete strategy for doing just that:
- Find high-ticket topics
- Create high-quality content to drive organic traffic
- Monetize with high-ticket display ads and affiliate links
First, I find high-ticket topics that are popular with readers. To do this, I use keyword research tools like Google Autocomplete and Ahrefs (I list my complete tool stack in this article).
I also look at relevant forums and social media groups to see what topics emerge in my niche.
Next, I create content around those topics.
I make sure to include the keywords that people are searching for in my titles and strategically (and naturally) throughout my posts. I also include plenty of images, videos, and other multimedia to make my posts more engaging.
Finally, I monetize my traffic with display ads and affiliate links.
I use Google AdSense and Ezoic for the display ads, and I promote products from companies like Amazon Associates and Clickbank for the affiliate links.
By following this strategy, I’m able to make an average of $5,000+ per month writing about high-ticket topics.
Next, let’s look a bit deeper into each part of the process.
How I Find High-Ticket Topics
There are a lot of different ways to find high-ticket topics.
These are some of my favorite ways.
Products and Brands
One of the ways I find high-ticket topics is to look at specific products and brands within my niche.
For example, let’s say I’m in the tennis shoe niche.
I would start by researching popular tennis shoe brands like Nike and Adidas. I would look at their best-selling shoes and see if there are any common themes or patterns.
Are there certain features that seem to be popular? Are there certain styles of shoes that sell better than others?
Once I have a good understanding of what people are looking for, I can then start to narrow down my focus. I can look for high-ticket items that meet those needs and target my content accordingly.
By taking this approach, I’m able to find topics that are both relevant and popular, which helps me to attract more readers and generate more sales.
Software
Software has been a goldmine for my portfolio of websites.
I highly recommend that you research your niche to find any software you can promote or write about on your site.
Look for:
- Automation
- Convenience
- New technology
For example, if I ran a website about making videos or editing videos, I would promote TubeBuddy, Photoshop, Da Vinci, Adobe Premiere Pro, etc.
Clickbank
Clickbank is an online marketplace that connects digital product creators with affiliate marketers.
Product creators can list their products on Clickbank and set the commission rates that they are willing to pay to affiliates. Affiliates can then browse the Clickbank marketplace and choose products to promote.
If an affiliate generates a sale, they will earn a commission.
Clickbank takes care of all the transactions and payments, making it a very convenient platform for both product creators and affiliates.
I use Clickbank to find topics to write about on my niche websites.
As you might guess, I also use it for affiliate marketing.
I simply search for products in my niche and then read the sales page to get ideas for content. Then I turn to my topic and keyword tools.
This is a great way to find high-quality content ideas that are already proven to sell. If you’re in the digital product business, I recommend using Clickbank.
You can earn commissions from promoting their products and services.
Amazon
You can also browse the products and services in your niche on Amazon.
Any product can prompt a piece of content.
A nice feature on Amazon is the ability to filter your search by price and popularity. Start by searching for the most expensive items in your niche. You can write informational posts, affiliate posts, or review posts about almost any product.
But since we’re talking about high-ticket topics, focus on the most expensive.
Keyword Tools
I always use one keyword tool or another.
Personally, I prefer manually searching for topics using Google Autocomplete and Ahrefs.
But many other bloggers use other keyword tools, such as SemRush, Google Trends, Google Adword Planner, Keyword Sheeter, AnswerSocrates, and more.
When I use keyword tools, I’m looking for:
- Low competition topics
- High search volume
- Buyer Intent
A simple way to think about buyer intent is to look for questions people ask right before they buy something.
Questions like:
- How much does this cost?
- Where can I buy this?
- How long will it last?
- What are the payment plans?
- What’s the return policy?
- Are these any good?
- Is this a scam?
- What’s the best one?
How To Write Articles on High-Ticket Topics
I write articles on high-ticket topics much like I write about any other topics.
Here is what I try to do:
- Write an article between 1K-3K words (average of 1.5K)
- Write in a simple and straightforward manner
- Remove all fluff
- Place the most important and interesting information at the top of the post, and then work my way backward (down the page) from most important to least important information
- Use basic SEO (mostly by following the RankMath SEO guidelines)
- Cover the topic/answer the question comprehensively from many angles
- Use the People Also Ask and People Also Search sections of Google search for some of my subheadings
- Use images, videos, bulleted lists, quotes, and examples to break up the text
- Write in short sentences and short paragraphs
I always edit using Grammarly and run my final draft through a plagiarism checker like Copyscape.
