How I Made $4983.33 Selling Books Online In November 2023
In November 2023, I achieved a significant milestone in my journey as a KDP author.
It was my most profitable month yet, and I’m excited to share my experience and the strategies that led to this success.
November Breakdown

My Amazon KDP journey began in 2020 with a conservative approach, focusing on creating evergreen books and running low-cost ads that would continue selling over the years.
This long-term strategy has paid off beautifully.
For instance, in November of the previous year, my earnings were $2,685, but this November, they skyrocketed to $4,980.33, marking a substantial year-over-year growth.

My highest earning day was November 28th, when I made a record $273.10. However, not every day was as profitable; the lowest was November 5th, with earnings of $54.8.
I noticed a steady increase in sales from the 14th, as the Christmas rush began, and for the final three days of November, my earnings exceeded $200 per day.
Analyzing my best-selling books provides insight into this success.

My top sellers include:
3 activity books which made $953.59, $814.32 and $724.17.
a log book earned $646.91,
and a quiz book made $445.47.
These books have grown over time, garnering more reviews and authority in their respective niches.
Ads

Advertising plays a crucial role in my strategy, especially during the lucrative Q4 period.
In November, I invested heavily in ads, particularly in the UK market, where I spent £894.87 with an (ACoS) of 28.36%, leading to sales of over £3,000.
In the US, I had a much higher ACoS but still managed to have 67 orders. My expenses in Canada were minimal but effective.
The financial breakdown

My total income was $4,980.33. However, running a KDP business involves various expenses.
After accounting for advertising costs, VAT (as I am based in the UK), and subscriptions for essential tools like ChatGPT Plus, Midjourney, Book Bolt, and others, my total expenses amounted to $1,673.04.
This left me with a net profit of $3,310.29 for the month.
Final Thoughts
Reflecting on this journey, I am immensely proud of how far my KDP business has come.
I’m excited to see what December holds and to continue sharing my journey and insights with my community.
