How I Made $3,266.92 On Amazon KDP in October 2023

Welcome to my October 2023 KDP income report where I give you a peek into the world of my self-publishing journey on Amazon.
Here’s a breakdown of my earnings, my best-selling books, and the role advertising played in my strategy.
Earnings Breakdown

For the month of October, I made a total of $3,266.192. Interestingly, while this was a slight drop from the previous month, I observed that my daily sales were more consistent.
One reason behind this might be that I’ve been engrossed in building other income streams and haven’t been able to publish as many books. Although, I did manage to release three activity books.
In the upcoming month of November, my target is to churn out between four to eight books, which will include coloring books, activity books, and one higher content book.
To give you a clearer picture, my highest earnings in a day for this month was $152.8 on October 17th. On the flip side, my lowest was $76.1 on October 15th.
For perspective, last year in the same month, I made $1,241.53 in total. The highest I earned on a single day then was $64.6 on October 13th, which is even lesser than my lowest day this year!

This gives a sense of how much progress can be made in a year.

Ads Breakdown

Advertising plays a significant role in this business. In the UK, I shelled out over £570 on ads, resulting in sales over £1670, with an AC cost of 34.4%.
Meanwhile, in the US, I was a bit conservative, spending nearly $150, which gave me sales of $416.46 and an AC cost of $35.81.
However, my ads in the Canadian market wasn’t fruitful. I spent $2.10, but unfortunately, didn’t make any sales.
Final Breakdown

After considering all expenses, which also include my subscriptions like ChatGPT Pro, Canva, Creative Fabrica, Midjourney, and Leonardo AI, my total outflow was $1,110.81.
This means my net profit for October stood at $2,156.11.
