How I Increased My Consistency and Improved My Work as a Teenager
Consistency is the key to success over time

Do you struggle with sticking to your goals because you feel like you have to be perfect? Are you constantly beating yourself up for every setback, every mistake, and every missed opportunity?
In this blog, I’ll show you why being consistent is more important than being perfect. By planning for failure and embracing the power of consistency. You’ll achieve your goals with less stress and more success.
The All or Nothing Mindset
That means you do something only if everything goes perfectly, and if not you are quiet because of this.
why the mindset is problematic
When I was younger I wanted to have things perfect and not used. So I had many toy weapons and only wanted to use my best weapon for a special event. I wanted the weapon to work perfectly and not used. In the end, I sold my toy weapons and did not use my best weapons. So don‘t wait for something to use it and don‘t think the situation needs to be perfect. If you start a new hobby there will be never the perfect moment. One example that I often hear is that people want to do more sports and go to the gym . They always have different excuses why they don‘t start or keep going.
Planning for Failure
When I started with YouTube I knew that my videos would be not perfect. I didn’t try to edit a perfect video, I started with quantity over quality and now will go more to quality. I planned lots of space for failure because I knew it would come and I would learn from it.
Strategies for planning for failure
A basic strategy would be to plan always a little bit more time. Often if I plan 1 hour for editing a video it takes 1.5 hours so I should also start with planning more time for this. But often if you plan something you don‘t want to plan too much. Even if you have time left you can start with the next tasks.
Embracing Consistency
Consistency in life can be a big change. I learned the 10-finger system 5 months ago and now train on a website every day for 3 minutes. Over time you get better I saw that I am getting faster. So to come back to the gym example start with only 15 minutes every second day. If you like it you do more but at least 15 minutes.
Also with reading you should read every day. Then you get better at reading faster and learn something. I read every day even if I don’t have the time at least that I read one page to also make it a habit.
