It has been over a year since I started working as a DevOps Engineer in a service-based company with an approx of 70 employees.

There is a reason why I chose to work in a small company, it really helps to learn many things related to tech much faster as compared to big multi-national companies in the start.

I got to learn and work hands-on on some of the best and most widely used technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud technologies, Jenkins, Terraform, and more.

But it is not the place or environment that helped me to learn all these things at a much faster rate, it is the hunger to become and do something exceptional that helped me to achieve all of these in almost 6–7 months.

I recently cleared Certified Kubernetes Administrator Exam and going to clear the AWS Solution Architect Associate soon by the end of this month.

Sometimes when I try to apply at other companies, it really sounds astonishing and imaginary to the recruiters how a person with 12 months of experience has worked on so many technologies.

After 2–3 months after starting working, I started to write my learning and decided to teach others through my articles here on Medium.

I wrote 30 articles out of 140 that were in the tech niche specifically programming and DevOps.

I just calculated the earnings of my tech articles and the cumulative amount that I got is around $604.

That means $20 per article. Nice!

The most thing common that helped the best performing articles is the member reading time of it.

The more the reader spends time reading your articles, the higher the chance of your article earning more.

Here as you can see in the above image, the total views I got is around 9,000 and the lifetime earnings of this article is $125 which is quite good in my opinion as this niche is already competitive and no one reads this type of article from end-to-end.

My main goal is to put out these kinds of articles more and more in the coming months in order to earn more money with the help of more volume and simultaneously provide a certain value to the readers.

I don’t know how much other people writing in this niche-earn, probably more and articles of programming tricks can get viral easily.

Let’s see if I can dominate the “DevOps” niche in the future or it will fail miserably with time.

I also write creative articles that help you become more aware, don’t forget to read the below ones;
