How I Deal with High Blood Pressure Naturally
Hypertension is a silent killer. Many of my friends died from high blood pressure also called hypertension.
I am sharing with you my high blood pressure stories hoping you will start living a healthy lifestyle before it is too late.

In 2011, I already knew that I had hypertension. Every time that I visited my Gynae, they will take my blood pressure. It was always on a high number like 159/120, but the nurses or my doctor did not pay attention to it. But knowing this, because my doctor did “NOT” say much about it, so I did not think of it much either.
Not until that day, a very close friend of mine who happens to have 3 young children and a young wife, just started life in Singapore was in a coma due to hypertension that attacks him while on duty to his work.
I went to Thailand for a second opinion and have my annual check-ups done. I was brought to a special room in Bumrungrad hospital. There was an expert and we had a good talk about my lifestyle.
The experts explain to me what was the danger if I do not take action against it. The kind experts told me the possibilities of what to do in living my best life.
I was looking through the window from that room inside the hospital, looking at the scenic sunset of Bangkok, feeling sad and thinking hard.
I realize how my life was in danger when she asks me if do I want to take a pill to lower my blood pressure and that once I start, it will be forever.
The word ”FOREVER” I did not want to hear in this scenario.
I recall back during my work facing too long in front of the computer and reviewing photos to finalize and deliver to my customers.
No wonder I always have shoulder and headache pain and dizziness.
I just ignore it by going for a massage almost every day.
I come to realize and I said it is not too late. I told myself that moment that I am not in a coma yet.
Paying attention to our body is so important! Please do not IGNORE YOUR BODY! Do Not Ignore if you are unwell. Don’t think you can save your money by not going for a check-up. You will spend more if it gets worse.
Seeing it with my very own eyes from my close friends who just died is a total nightmare. Believe me.
Going back to the experts, the question of “Do I want to start taking hypertension pills for life?”
I refused and I said I can make it go away, I came back to Singapore, made a plan on what I need to do.
(I was thinking of balancing my work and personal life, (that if I want to live still).
It took me a while to get started. Then, met a customer for my photography business, good-looking in his physique.
As usual, I like talking to my customers. This customer of mine was very kind enough to encourage and guide me on what to eat and what not to eat.
We became friends.
He explains the food of bad and ugly, the low carbs, the clean food.
This was back only in January 2013, I started to avoid food such as
Deep-fried food
Refined Carbo
No Full-Fat Dairy Products
Cut off or avoid alcohol ( not totally as I mingle and go out with drinker friends).
I began to really listen and get focus on my plan, my daily diet was to eat 4 to 5 x a day.
That person recommends eating 6 to 7 x per day in a smaller amount but I have no time for it.
(It was I said to myself. I love to work and often I am outside the studio dealing with clients or taking photographs. It was the time that my business booms. I was so busy making money).
He also mentions no rubbish snacks.
I have cut and put away so much seasoning and other synthetic foods. I start watching everything that I consume and put to my mouth.
For example, instead of eating rice, I replace it with couscous or sweet potato.

Here are some examples of meals that I take and still do today.
- Wholegrain Oatmeal with Greek nonfat yogurt plus some blueberries sometimes with a little honey to taste. Not using sugars.
- Grilled chicken breast with no skin with no salt, loads of green salad with no dressings, or just steam broccoli. Grilled Salmon or tuna with loads of green salad — no dressings, means no taste. Omg, so bland.
- (When I take flights, I order special meals all the time).
- If I have to drink coffee, I do drink with no sugar and no milk.
I did lose a few fats, from 60 Kilos I went down to 52 kilos in just 3months.
My customers and friends were surprised!
I also notice that I need to tone my body as I lose weight, my skin gets hanging.
I go for a walk every morning for an hour or more, depends on my time. Now, my BP (blood pressure) is very normal. I weigh 49 to 52-kilo grams.
By the way, I stand 5 feet and 2 inches tall. Lol! Imagine if I am 60 Kilos heavy? How will I look?


I feel great because my friends said I look good as I get older. I’m going to be 50.
I do have SEA SALT to taste but not often. I avoided other types of synthetic salts. Oftentimes, my food is only seasoned with lemon juice, natural herbs, and sea salt in a minimum portion.
I make my salad dressing these days. This a video I created about salad dressings.
“My husband said that my food is terrible. So we really plan our meal and I eat what I want and he does eat what he likes.
Life at first was complicated and we almost ended up separating.
Additional to a selection of food and avoiding seasonings, I start to workout or exercise until I become addicted to it.
On top of all the food intake and exercise, I am taking the GARLIC tablet from a pharmacy. Vitamin C, magnesium, and good sleep.

Conclusions:
In general, food intake is a 100% contributor to how our body can become.
It is about discipline to oneself. If you care about your loved ones, keep yourself healthy as much as possible. So that when we die, no one can blame us that we did not lead a better life or that because we are ignorant to lead a better lifestyle.
