How I Bridged the Abyss with Metacognitive and Superconscious Awareness

My journey of blending and bridging science and mysticism, making sense of the inner and outer world to manifest my mental and spiritual desires

Looking through the microscope, I saw how simple the tiny world appeared, almost like it wasn’t there, like nothingness. But when I looked at the vast universe through a telescope, it seemed incredibly complex, like an intricate and massive piece of divine artwork.

These polar experiences got me thinking about a question that has puzzled people for centuries: how does such incredible complexity emerge from what we see as emptiness or nothingness, as nihilists call it? How could such a vast universe be hidden in our inner world?

Science, with its tangible mechanisms and observable phenomena, struggles to offer a satisfactory answer to these difficult questions. The chasm between the micro and the macro universe is too vast. Thus, conventional scientific explanations fall short.

But as I pondered the mysteries of existence using quantum physics concepts, I realized that there were other avenues, ones that didn’t rely solely on intellect but tapped into the profound capacities of my mind and spirit by managing my perceptions.

I realized that we can’t understand these complexities with intellect, but we can feel them with embodied cognition and intuition with additional two concepts that I will introduce in this story.

It was in this unique experimental approach that I found some satisfying perspectives, like the convergence of science and mysticism, where two mighty concepts, metacognition and superconscious awareness, held the keys to unlocking the enigma for me.

I understood that metacognition and superconscious awareness were multifaceted concepts that could be explored only by combining scientific and mystical perspectives with an open mind and heart, connecting the body and soul and guiding me on a unique personal journey.

Consciousness and cognition, in their own right, were already complex concepts and abstract territories, defying adequate description through mere language. Adding the prefixes “super” and “meta” to these concepts convoluted them further.

Yet, I was drawn to explore these frontiers, not through the lens of scientific or technical details, but through my own personal perceptions to create a distinctive perspective using scientific methods and mystic approaches together.

This story is a thought experiment reflecting my personal experience that I want to share with you to provide an authentic, memorable, and unique perspective.

I don’t lay any claim to supernatural abilities. Quite the opposite, my very human limitations ground me and humble me. Therefore, reading this piece requires an open mind and heart with childhood curiosity.

My aim is to stimulate thought and illustrate the potential avenues for understanding the concepts of metacognition and superconsciousness through my observations and thought experiments.

I started with metacognition.

Metacognition is the intellectual ability to think about our own thinking and know how we know. It has been the mirror through which I can examine the intricate workings of my mind with thoughts.

With metacognition, I peered into the inner machinery of my thoughts, beliefs, and cognitive biases. It allowed me to understand not only how I thought but why I thought in specific ways.

Metacognition wasn’t about delving into profound states of awareness but about understanding how I thought, felt, believed, and manifested. It was the ability to assess my thought patterns, identify limiting beliefs, and intentionally direct my mental focus toward creating solutions.

My journey into metacognition revealed an intellectual self-awareness that was both illuminating and empowering. I began to explore thoughts related to thinking itself — how my mind operated, the beliefs that colored my perceptions, and the biases that influenced my decisions.

Emotionally, metacognition became a tool for recognizing and managing my emotional responses that were rooted in specific thought patterns.

It was as though I held a magnifying glass to the thoughts that triggered anxiety, sadness, or other unpleasant emotions, allowing me to dismantle them and rebuild more constructive mental pathways leading to pleasant feelings.

Intriguingly, metacognition subtly influenced how clearly I perceived the world around me. My thoughts, beliefs, and cognitive processes shaped my interpretation of reality.

This realization was as though I was crafting the metaphorical lens through which I viewed the world as it was.

To highlight again, metacognition has been a valuable tool that empowered me to recognize and manage emotional turbulences that were rooted in complex thought patterns.

I could intercept the chain of negative thoughts that often led to distressing emotions, dismantling them and reconstructing them using constructive mental pathways.

Metacognitive awareness didn’t directly impact the ordinary senses, but it had a profound influence on how I perceived the world.

My thoughts, beliefs, and cognitive processes became the lens through which I interpreted reality. It was as though I held the painter’s brush, adding shades and colors to the canvas of existence, influencing my physical and mental health.

Metacognition empowered me to manage my thoughts and emotions effectively, reducing stress and enhancing well-being. It sharpened my problem-solving abilities to address health issues and improve wellness.

It helped me to break down complex decisions into manageable components, improving decision-making. It optimized my learning and adaptability, fostered empathy, and boosted my self-confidence in facing challenges. It sparked creativity by encouraging introspection.

Here are some practical points that helped me to use metacognition.

Step 1: Before engaging in meditation or spiritual practices, practice metacognitive techniques to regulate your attention. This may involve setting intentions, visualization, and diaphragmatic breathing.

Step 2: Dedicate some time each day to mindfulness meditation. Observe your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Notice any shifts in consciousness or moments of heightened awareness.

Step 3: Focus on your breath, thoughts, and bodily sensations. Label them with concrete names. As your mindfulness deepens, explore the possibility of transcendent experiences and how they change your feelings and sensations.

Step 4: After meditative experience, take time for introspection and journaling. You may write down your thoughts, feelings, and revelations. Reflect on how these experiences contribute to your spiritual growth, taking you beyond your identity.

Step 5: Be mindful of not overanalyzing superconscious experiences with metacognitive awareness during the introspection sessions. Allow moments of surrender and full immersion to facilitate profound mystical experiences without judgment. It shows you are moving from a lower to a higher awareness of the self.

I grew with superconscious awareness.

My superconsciousness transcended the boundaries of ordinary consciousness. It was as if it elevated my mind to new dimensions, allowing me to tap into insights that lay beyond the reach of conventional intellect.

Superconscious awareness represents a deeper level of awareness and understanding associated with profound insights, creativity, and interconnectedness with the universe.

I characterized it as a combination of heightened intellectual awareness, expanded perception, emotional transformation, heightened senses, and refined sensations.

In the recognition and embrace of superconscious awareness, I found my thoughts intertwining in profound ways, forming creative mental images. For example, ideas flowed like a majestic river, and unsolvable problems looked solvable.

Superconscious awareness allowed me to tap into the unseen universe hidden in my inner world. It helped me awaken to the infinite hidden in the microscopic (subatomic levels).

I uncovered unexpected ideas and solutions that had remained hidden in the recesses of my ordinary conscious awareness.

With the awareness of superconsciousness, my thoughts took on a profound depth and interconnectivity. Ideas flowed like a river of creativity. I delved into innovative solutions that eluded me from my ordinary waking state.

But it wasn’t just my thoughts that expanded. It was my entire perception of the world around me. I began to see the intricate threads of interconnectedness weaving through everything.

I felt an overwhelming sense of unity and oneness with the universe taking me beyond my identity.

Emotionally, superconscious states bathed me in feelings of boundless love, compassion, and joy. Negative emotions seemed to dissolve in its radiant presence, leaving behind a profound sense of inner peace and serenity.

Even my ordinary senses took on a new dimension. For example, colors seemed more vibrant, sounds more melodious, aromas more enticing, and my overall sensory experiences felt richer.

I felt like having extrasensory perceptions as if the boundaries of the physical world were becoming porous.

But the most exquisite sensation of all was the feeling of profound peace and bliss that coursed through my being. It was as though I had tapped into an endless reservoir of serenity that I had no idea or experience of before.

It was as if I had glimpsed a higher plane of existence, where the ordinary concerns of life paled in comparison to the grandeur of interconnectedness. I wondered why I couldn’t had such profound experiences before.

My wise mentor said experiencing superconsciousness was a deeply personal and unique experience. I understood that it required an open heart, a willingness to explore the unknown, and the potential guidance of mentors or experts.

But I couldn’t find a fixed or universal path to share with others. Just as each person is unique, their journey toward superconsciousness will also be distinctive, I guess. But the benefits to my physical and mental health were intriguing. Therefore, I want to create an awareness of this concept.

From a physical health angle, superconscious awareness helped me to manage chronic pain conditions. For example, by shifting my attention away from pain, I could reduce my perception of discomfort and suffering. This awareness helped me lower stress and increase sleep quality.

From a mental health angle, superconscious awareness helped me to increase my emotional stability and well-being through acceptance of life and its circumstances as they were. It also improved my cognitive abilities and gave me mental clarity.

Here are some practical points that helped me to embrace superconscious awareness

Step 1: Open your heart. This means being open to new experiences, ideas, feelings, and possibilities without prejudice. It also means being open to facing your own fears and shadows. Be straight and honest with yourself.

Step 2: Be willing to venture into the unknown. Superconsciousness is beyond the realm of conventional awareness and understanding. So be prepared to let go of what you think you know, what you believe safe or secure, and explore the unknown with an open mind.

Step 3: Seek guidance from people who experienced superconsciousness. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with making sense of the world, those people might provide helpful perspectives. You may customize their solutions to tailor your needs and desires.

The Impact of Combining Metacognition with Superconscious Awareness Using Science and Mysticism

You may ask why one might need to venture into these realms of superconsciousness and metacognition. What did they offer me on this journey of self-discovery?

The answer was simple yet profound: a deeper understanding of the self, the universe, and the intricate dance between the two.

They revealed that the cosmos was not just a grand tapestry but a living, breathing entity and that my existence was not isolated but a vibrant thread woven into the fabric of universal composition.

Metacognition and superconsciousness are distinct cognitive and consciousness-related processes, but they can influence each other in various ways, primarily in the context of self-improvement and spiritual intelligence.

Their symbiotic dance charmed me. I mean, what struck me most profoundly was how these two concepts danced together in the theater of my mind. I realized that metacognition, the ability to understand and direct my thoughts, could lead me to superconscious states.

For instance, when confronted with anxiety, metacognition allowed me to recognize the irrational thought patterns that fueled it intellectually.

By introspecting on these thoughts and reframing them, I experienced altered perceptions and improved emotional well-being.

Yet, in superconscious moments, my intellectual understanding transcended into a profound emotional and perceptual experience.

I found myself enveloped in a sense of inner peace with unity, perceiving the interconnectedness of all beings and experiencing profound compassion and a heightened love for them which were nothing but pure energy in essence.

I read about many mystics' tales of inner unfoldment leading to unity with the divine. Their spiritual sojourn to superconscious awareness gave me mental frameworks to make sense of the metaphysical world.

These concepts guided my journey within, offering me the keys to unlock the full potential of my mind and spirit. Through superconscious and metacognitive awareness, I discovered that the true magic of life lies not just in the world outside but in the infinite universe hidden within.

Ultimately, combining science and mysticism as two powerful tools and concepts answered my difficult questions that I couldn’t answer solely with science. The smart combination granted me a new perspective on existence and universal composition itself.

In their embrace, I found unity in complexity, simplicity in chaos, and a path to traverse the uncharted territories of human consciousness and cognition yet to be explored, understood, and used for full potential.
