How I became a Gumroad Powerseller

My Gumroad journey started about 2 years ago. Since then, I’ve built and hosted almost a dozen different products and services on the Gumroad platform.

Today, I call myself a Gumroad powerseller, a term I coined myself to illustrate my selling abilities on the platform.

  • Quick, efficient selling on autopilot with,
  • Smart marketing strategy behind it

Here’s how I got here…

Discovering Gumroad and hopping on board

I came from Teachable and Sendowl (I’m still with Teachable). Two platforms that charge you a monthly subscription for using their services.

Whether you make money or not, you pay.

And, to be honest, they were on opposite sides of the spectrum.

Teachable offered too much, haha. And, Sendowl, not enough.

For Teachable, they have LOTS of different functions and features that are awesome for sellers.

  • Affiliates
  • Coupon codes
  • Memberships
  • Coaching

They’ve evolved quite a bit over the years. And, their sales page can be customized to look like it’s not on Teachable at all. You can really make it your own.

With Sendowl, even on the highest-tier plan, which I was on, it still felt like something was missing. I didn’t have the tools needed to create the sales page I envisioned without hiring a designer and I was left just wanting more.
