How I Became a Bookworm

Being a bookworm step by step

1) I went to bookstores and libraries.

Before, I also did not like to read. As someone who has barely read a book, I started to like books thanks to this method. Loving is the most important step.

I want to briefly tell my story. I knew that I needed to improve myself, my thoughts, my horizons, and my behavior, so I had to read a book. But I didn’t want to study. I thought of such an idea. Once or twice a week he went to the bookstores in my area. And I made sure that the books caught my attention. I saw a lot of people who were walking around with 10 books, who were very good at manners, and who were excellent at speaking. I was very impressed by them. Of course, my efforts have yielded results.

One day, I woke up in the morning and wanted to read a book. I ran right away, bought a book, and started reading, and since then I’ve been trying to finish one book in about ten days. And I feel very happy. You can get what I say by browsing the book sites.

2) I read 20 pages a day.

If you read about 15–20 pages a day, it is impossible for you not to become a habit after a while, as I will explain in my next article, read regularly. You can think of it like this. Aim to finish the book you started reading in 10 days. Then determine the number of pages you should read in a day. This will also be useful to you. I usually use the second method.

3) I read regularly.

Prophet Muhammad says;

“The most desirable of deeds is the one that is permanent, even if a little”.

You can write this advice on the first page of the book you are reading. You can also apply this advice to reading a book or to other aspects of your life.

4) I quit the book as soon as my desire to read is lost.

Because if I continue to do this even though I don’t want to, I can stop reading books completely. I think you can do that too.

5) Get a reading lamp.

If I have special materials for reading books, I thought that every time I see these items, I would like to read a book. And I really benefited a lot from this.

6) I created a bookcase corner in my room.

If your room is big enough, 5-shelf libraries will see your business at this stage. You will be proud of putting every book you read there. Wouldn’t it be so nice that maybe a year later will not be enough for you? Imagine showing your corner to your guests, it must be a really great feeling.

7) I bought an e-book reader.

If you buy an e-book reader, there will be a desire to have it with you, as it is a technological device. You can also think of it as a tablet. You can download various E-Books from free e-pub sites. This will allow you to reach almost every book more comfortably and in a shorter time.

8) I created a book reading group.

For example, you can start with a group of 5 people and do a monthly book review. In the beginning, buy 2 books for 1 month to finish a book every 15 days. Or, a book a month would be enough until you get a habit. This will encourage you to read books of different cultures and genres, and will quickly improve your knowledge. Plus, every time you see your friends, you will have the feeling that you have to read a book to catch up with them. This was the method I benefited from the most. And I focused more easily on the book I read.

9) I learned the most read books.

It will encourage you to start with the most widely read books in your country or internationally.

Congratulations, you are now a bookworm candidate. I hope I could be useful.

Thank you …
