How Do You Measure Success?

It’s not always easy, right?

Big house? Numerous family? Money in the bank?

How do YOU measure success?

Compared to my parent’s life, I am far behind with… literally everything. But do I feel unaccomplished?

The reality is that no, I don’t.

It feels strange when family members say hey…what about your boyfriend? or when I see cousins who have started their own families but that is what makes THEM happy. It’s another story for me.

Of course, I would also want to have something similar, it's just that not now. I feel that there is so much to experience in life, so I don’t want to rush anything… and I mean anything.

Success for me is being able to work for my goals, try-out new adventures, enjoy my nuclear family, do little things that make me happy, etc. Simple, yes, but with powerful outcomes.

So how do you measure it?

You also have to consider that money is not always a synonym for happiness but it does help, right?

Economic stability can be very extremely practical in these same exact situations where we are encountering a recession and after many people lost their jobs.

So that is why people may relate success to money, but is it really?

We are always going to have ups and downs in life but we must use these situations to inspire and motivate us to learn from all of our experiences. That is the only way we can truly move forward and not get stuck in the past or long for what we had before.
