How Come We Never Learn?
Our Serenity is given to Us … We choose to give it away

What part of ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me’ does the world not get? Maybe this is why we are in ruins — mankind is so bent on competition and smashing the weak in order to dominate and prosper. If we had learned at any time in the past hundred years that caring for the most hated, those mentally and physically ill, those damaged to the greatest degree, was our top priority and that all other things were secondary, we would have been in a position now to prosper — all of us. Because most of us were interested in excelling for ourselves, we never properly learned how vital taking care of the weakest members of our society was.
By going along with our society and not standing up for them: we hated them, feared them, labeled them, and scorned them. I believe it is too late for us to learn this lesson now, since we are more divided than ever before. It was there for us all along, and we chose to ignore it. Remember, nobody is privileged in these days. We are discovering how limited we become when a pandemic, and then intolerance, equalizes us. Countries set upon dominance of any kind will forever be attacked and scorned, don’t we get that? Their governments are, by definition, unholy, since they seek wealth and not humility.
And believe me when I tell you about its correlation: the rich only got there by trampling on the needs of those beneath them, and therefore, they have the highest obligation to right the wrongs of their community members and the leaders of all those nations who followed their lobbyists for monetary cause. They created a vehicle to generate economic wealth, but they begrudged fair practices for the workers which made this so, and they tried crushing the competition along the way. Their government leaders enjoyed the favors bestowed upon them and went along for the ride.
So long as getting to the top dominates a generations’ goals and ideals, our country and our world will flounder. Those who compete to dominate should be ostracized and scorned, for they embody everything that is wrong with humanity at its core. Dominate means one above and the many tossed aside and exercised control over. It is never okay for any culture or race of people to take its own, and then especially, get outraged expecting other cultures and races to behave differently towards them. All lives matter, but more important than that: our own principles matter above all else. Those behind the scenes making decisions which affect others, you cannot get away and hide from the aberrations you fulfill. Your time has now come whoever and wherever you may be.
As far as I can tell, every country is at fault and is to blame. No country’s leaders attempt to care for each and every member of their society. Instead of working together, countries are afraid and compete with one another. How much wealth do you want? When does cooperation and caring for all the world and everyone in it become your priority? You can’t have it both ways, and compromise is a belly-full of acid. World dominance is an illusion you will pay a hefty price pursuing. When mankind does not renew the face of the world each and every day, of its own good free will and accord; the world itself, God, and various sects of society will be glad to do it for them.
Here it is for those who need to be reminded.
From Matthew 25:31–46:
“But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then he will sit on the throne of his glory. Before him all the nations will be gathered, and he will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then the King will tell those on his right hand, ‘Come, blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world; for I was hungry, and you gave me food to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you took me in. I was naked, and you clothed me. I was sick, and you visited me. I was in prison, and you came to me.’
“Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you; or thirsty, and give you a drink? When did we see you as a stranger, and take you in; or naked, and clothe you? When did we see you sick, or in prison, and come to you?’
“The King will answer them, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ Then he will say also to those on the left hand, ‘Depart from me, you cursed, into the eternal fire which is prepared for the devil and his angels; for I was hungry, and you didn’t give me food to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave me no drink; I was a stranger, and you didn’t take me in; naked, and you didn’t clothe me; sick, and in prison, and you didn’t visit me.’
“Then they will also answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and didn’t help you?’
“Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Most certainly I tell you, because you did not do it to one of the least of these, you didn’t do it to me.’ These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”
So, it remains clear the lessons are there for us to follow. It might not be the business-minded thing to do; it might not make us rich; we may never know if our efforts have been fruitful. Indeed, the path might be wrought with frustration and limited success.
However, that is a small thing for those of us who have so much already. Many have far less and are happier.
