When did Coldplay come into my life?
Fortunately, it was right after my first and only romantic downfall.
I was roaming the internet for a suitable song to heal me. I was upset, no doubt. The girl I loved left me and got married to another man. You know what hurts the most — when you see your beloved look happy without you. Oh, it’s devastating.
After marriage, the girl I loved started posting their wedding photos on Facebook. It was floating on my newsfeed, and I was becoming more upset. I thought she has no heart inside. How could she do it? She knew I would feel bad seeing all those happy-photos.
It took me a few years to finally understand — it’s not all true what you see from the outside. And trust me, girls have tremendous power to adjust to any situation hiding their real emotions. I have seen it multiple times afterward.
I was not in that realization back in those tough days of 2012. I was young (still I am) and tender. I felt cheated. Maybe one or two teardrops started gliding down my face. But at that very moment, I heard someone saying —
When the tears come streaming down your face ’Cause you lose something you can’t replace When you love someone but it goes to waste What could it be worse?
Lights will guide you home And ignite your bones And I will try to fix you
I was surprised to see someone singing my emotions. I looked at the pc-screen and saw a man walking through the road saying — I’ll try to fix you.
That is how Coldplay entered into my life. I felt the power of good lyrics and tune. I felt the warmth of love. Eventually, I jumped into the diverse world of Coldplay. It’s a cold, warm, exciting, creative, and colorful one where people realize that good songs sometimes fix things.

This British rock band was formed in London in 1996. But before becoming Coldplay, they were Pectoralz and then Starfish for a few years.

Coldplay, with their unparalleled lyrical genius and eye-soothing music videos, invaded people’s hearts all over the world. I must say their songs work like magic.
Their musical style is regarded as alternative rock though Chris Martin once proclaimed the band’s music as limestone rock in comparison to hard rock.
Chris Martin, with his soothing voice and magical performance, always takes me to heaven when I listen to them.
What makes Coldplay Coldplay?
To me, it’s two things — simplicity and diversity.
Songs connect to our emotions, making us feel sad or rejuvenated. Coldplay does the latter with simple lyrics and diverse presentations. They heal you when you are in distress. They cool you down when you are in agony.
Coldplay is Coldplay because they see things differently — positively. They believe every teardrop is a waterfall, and if nothing works, they will come to fix you.
They talk about love and care. They encourage you to enjoy this incredible (sometimes unbearable) existence on earth. They convince you to continue this adventure of a lifetime.
You could be anyone — a scientist, a princess of China, or a lover in Japan. All you need is to hear the speed of sound looking at the sky full of stars above your head. Remember, you have a hymn for the weekend to forget all your trouble.
If your clocks betray you, don’t lose hope — don’t panic. There will be a new sunrise tomorrow, and the birds will sing your name. Trust me — you will live in a spiritual paradise.
