Hope Springs Eternal

Because what goes down will bounce back up

Photo by Sven Read on Unsplash

I’ve attempted this set of haiku as a progressively hopeful journey. My heart has been somewhat sad recently and I am adjusting to the regular routine, as I recover from the flu.

Dark clouds bring sad news My tears mingle with raindrops Grey skies cry with me

Lone road, flooded street Bleak days ahead. Unsure steps. Heart slips in puddle

Children laugh and shout Joyous sounds, a crescendo Drown thunder and rain

Myriad raindrops Refreshing cloudburst of joy Heart sings with birdsong

Raindrops drizzle love Parched earth awakes, flower buds bloom A garden is born

Cool rain, warm sunshine Bright blue sky, rainbow, angels Sprinkling happiness

Earth smiles graciously Embracing summer showers Thirsty fields rejoice

Showers of kindness Soothing warmth awakens soul A new beginning

Thank you, Sharing Randomly — for the prompt.
