Her Dying Friend Told Her She Saw Angels Outside Her Window
When she focused on the angels, she did not feel the pain
A life unrealized
Today I was having a long chat with a favorite cousin.
She told me the story of her friend who died when they were both 21 years old.
The young lady was stricken with cancer (leukemia).
She remembers going to her friend's house every day and knew that her friend was ill but did not really consider that her friend would actually die.
The young rarely really ponders death.
They tend to think that only “old” people die.
She said her friend was sick for some time and would talk about the pain she was in.
She would sit with her and paint her nails to try and cheer her up.
Then one day she visited and found her friend staring out the window.
She then told her that there were angels outside her window and when she kept her eyes on them, she felt so happy, and all her pain would go away.
So, she told her friend, “Don’t take your eyes off the angels, just keep looking at them.”
It was not too much longer that her friend passed away.
No love is ever truly lost
My cousin is now in her sixties and throughout the years, she would dream about her friend who always appeared well and happy.
The years passed until one day she dreamt her friend, and, in this dream, she asked her, “you won’t ever forget me will you”?
She told her “No I will never forget you”!
And that was the last time she ever dreamt of her friend. She believes that in the final dream, her friend was seeking validation that she would never forget her.
And was happy my cousin said she never would.
Some forty years later, my cousin said she has never forgotten her friend.
Sometimes over the years she would say her name out loud and tell her spirit, “You see I told you I would never forget you!”
What a lovely story of friendship that goes beyond the veil of death.
Final thoughts
As a person who has had spiritual experiences, I believe there is more to life that what we see and hear.
I believe if we have a calling, if we are open and receptive, we may become privy to a few secrets of the universe.
Dare to believe.
I remain grateful for a space to share my stories with you all.
Thank you for reading.
