RANDOM | FICTION | DRABBLE

He Threw My Spaghetti on the Floor

A daily drabble challenge

Today’s random word is FILL.

Because drabbles are short, please consider staying on this page for at least 30 seconds to count as a read. 💕

“That’s enough,” I cried with indignation. His whining could fill an eddy with tears. It was personal. Nobody got to criticize my cooking without a fight.

I spent hours, not to mention blood, sweat and tears, preparing the sauce and cooking the noodles to the perfect consistency.

I gave Stu the ideal amount, and instead of eating it, I watched him stick his fingers into it, scoop up the lot, and toss it to the dog.

Such is the thanks I get for feeding an eight-month-old.

He’d be happiest to stay on the breast.

He wonders, isn’t everyone?

Despite posting daily, while I attend to medical care, I will be off the grid, so please bear with me if my responses and reading of your work are delayed.

Nancy Oglesby writes, “If you are unfamiliar with a drabble, it is a fiction story of exactly 100 words.”

To make the challenge more interesting, each day, she gives a random word prompt.

Don’t miss out on today’s drabble.

If you’re looking for this month’s prompts, Fiction Short’s got you covered.

Here are the participants and supporters of the pub’s challenges. Please show their stories some love. (Please let me know if you want your name removed from or added to the list. Either is easy to do, per your request. All you need to do is ask in the comments or a note.)
