Happy Holidays, My Friends!
To new and old friends who know the real me through my stories and articles.
By nature, I’m a quiet person. Knowing that, is it any wonder I’d been a Medium member since April 2019 but didn’t write my first article until December 2022?
But since writing that first article a year ago, I’ve added 331 additional articles to that first one. This article will make 333 total articles. That’s half of 666, but I won’t go there right now. Coincidence?
Writing that first article opened me up to a community of wonderful people. Not just wonderful writers. Wonderful people. People who care about other people and share stories from their hearts.
This community is addictive. It’s the first thing I do every morning. I turn on my laptop and start going through any stories submitted to the Challenged and get them published. Then I start reading stories and responses from the night before. And I love every minute of it.
And did you know every time a story is submitted to the Challenged, an angel gets it’s wings? So, submit those stories!
There are too many of you now to name by name, but you know who you are. You’re my “posse,” my “gang,” my “friends,” my community. I “talk” to you daily through my articles and comments. And through my writing, you know more about me than some of my own family members.
With the holidays upon us and the end of the year quickly approaching, I want to thank you all for the kindness, love, respect and gentle guidance each of you has given me this past year.
I hope I’ve returned this to you in kind. I wish nothing but the best for each of you and always strive to encourage, not tear down. I think that’s in my nature, and I hope you see that in me.
Finally, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to serve as an editor on the Challenged publication. It has truly been my honor. Your work has moved me more than you will ever know, and I strive to be the first to read and comment on your articles as I publish them.
I look forward to more friendship, great articles and banter in 2024. I love you guys. I’ve been trying to come up with something like…EVEN MORE IN ‘24! Do you have any suggestions? Let’s hear ‘em.
