In half an hour I could write a poem Cook a meal Phone my mother

In half an hour I could find the beach Scorch of sand Shock of spray Between my toes

In half an hour I could walk my dog To woodlands green Bring dew-dropped bluebells Home

In half an hour I could shower sweet Shine my lips and Slip into something

In half an hour I could loosen my hair

And lay

Onto fresh sheets And downy pillows With you

In half an hour
