Haiku — 0017: Mystery
Oh, my humanity.
The larger story,
Logic, abstract, life and death,
Puzzles of the mind.
Between yesterday’s ‘Tranquility’ and today’s ‘Mystery’, I few moments of reflection. When I write “life and death”, I do imply creation and destruction, but I also want to mean “the creation and destruction of thoughts”. Yesterday, I mentioned how the mind runs a full circuit before calming down. And today, I want to think about one of those wild runs.
Mysteries of life are many, but perhaps none as significant as thoughts, which give birth to both logical and abstract notions. The former advances our existence, and the latter validates our existence. Both rely on dispassionate observation, creative imagination, perception, and above all, an intrigue for the unknown.
This blog of mine, for example, is one of the ways I pursue to demystify the puzzles of my mind, be it through writing, or reading. And given the articles I read, I get the distinct impression that there are several more like me.
Are you also someone on the journey of discovering these various puzzles? What have been your experiences? Let’s talk about these!
