Haiku — 0006: Journey

Going places.

Mighty river flows,

Summer peak to winter sea,

The Story of life.

I wrote this as I was sitting in the train, and had a sudden inspiration when, wait for it, the train was passing over a bridge. Not the deep rabbit hole I was expecting.

But that being said, every journey is an experience, and a life of its own — Something as “mundane” as walking to a supermarket can be a potential goldmine, one where no two people are ever the same, no two stories are ever the same. And never to be repeated. There are also some that do get repeated, acts of discipline, acts of process, optimizations, each a lesson in its own right.

And there is another dimension, the progression of life itself, from one challenge to a growth, from one happiness to an unfortunate circumstance, a journey of a life, just as a river would, from a source to a destination, through undulations of landscape.

So, journey forth! And at the end of today’s Haiku journey, I ask you, what is your reflection?
